Hmm. Not allowing IRC clients/bots on VPS services?

EDIT: Signed up. Not super impressed with the speed so far. Will do some more testing later on.

EDIT2: Hmm, network speeds are actually pretty decent, even to Europe and Asia. It's just Washington that's not great. Installing packages seemed very slow, perhaps it's just an unlucky route?

Seems odd, will keep monitoring the I/O!

It seems fine currently, but let us know if you see the problem again (preferably via ticket) and we'll check it out.

Looks better now, yeah - 240MB/sec :) I'll make a ticket if it reoccurs.

Curious about the IRC policy, though. Is there a particular reason that you disallow (non-malicious) clients/bots?

We're in the process of reviewing our AUP currently, some terms will be reviewed, amended and possibly removed. Legitimate (and non malicious) IRC would be fine as long as your usage complies with the remainder of our TOS/AUP.
