How do you understand this? Does "Add Funds" result from a purchase of goods or services?Anti Money Laundering. Merchant agrees that it shall not submit a transaction that does not result from a purchase of goods or services between the cardholder and Merchant.
Yes, it´s a "credit" something that is way older than Paypalhttps://www.paypal.com/bg/webapps/mpp/ua/ceagreement-full

Is this the pay flow pro CC processing agreement? Otherwise how could you know if the client is funding their account with a CC or funds already in their PayPal account.https://www.paypal.com/bg/webapps/mpp/ua/ceagreement-full

Here is another view. Paypal let´s you add fund to your Paypal account prior of needing to use the service. Is this the pay flow pro CC processing agreement? Otherwise how could you know if the client is funding their account with a CC or funds already in their PayPal account.
But I view "Add Funds" as purchase of future service, but maybe PayPal would view it differently
It doesn't? I can't use my card to deposit money in my paypal balance. Here is another view. Paypal let´s you add fund to your Paypal account prior of needing to use the service.
Answers your concern?
I can use my bank account to deposit money to my PayPal balance. Not sure if it's any different for CCs.It doesn't? I can't use my card to deposit money in my paypal balance.
Bank transfers only, no credit or debit cards, when adding funds to your PayPal account.Yes i can deposit with a bank transfer too, but not with a card.
Because that woudl make no sense, if you have a CC all you need to do is to link it to your paypal account and Paypal will take the money as you use the service. It doesn't? I can't use my card to deposit money in my paypal balance.
So you charge them VAT twice? There is a major problem for EU companies. WHMcs' add funds option doesn't include VAT. EU companies must charge VAT on every payment sent by EU individuals, including add funds invoices.
Once VAT is charged on add funds invoice, the formula for calculating total amount on service invoice is total=subtotal-credit+vat, not total=subtotal+vat-credit as WHMcs does by default.
We had a custom hook done to change all that according to EU laws. It may look like a simple hook but you figure it's a lot of work as you write it(e.g WHMcs' option for automatic applying credit to invoices need to be disabled and rewritten in the hook etc).
No, the vat ammount is discounted as well.So you charge them VAT twice?
If they are adding the funds to their account and then using those funds to pay the invoice due and you are charging VAT for both invoices then that's double charging them.
Client uses Add Funds and pays VAT.
Client uses funds to pay invoice with VAT added to it already.
Ok so even though he's paying the VAT, it's actually added to his account as credit and not deducted from his payment like it normally would be?No, the vat ammount is discounted as well.
Practical example:
Package A is 10+23%Vat ? 12.3
One day you decide to pre pay 1 month because you are going to take a cuple week vacations and send over the whole 12.3 (or 10 + vat)... when you receive the 1 month invoice you will have the 12.3 deducted.
What you need to realize is that when you pre fund the company still need to invoice you (a Credit note), thus the tax.
You may ask, wtf, why all this complication?..
Well, see it from the prespective of the goverment, they want to take their cut (vat) from every single euro you make, and a credit = money = financial transaction to a company benefit = the state gets their cut.
Makes sense now?
