With OpenVZ not receiving development, where is Virtuozzo Core?

I've been reading a little and since openvz was open sourced they moved the team that used to develop that into the virtuozzo core team. Where is virtuozzo core? I do not see where I can use virtuozzo without paying $900.

Apparently it is now recommended to use LXC when you need container virtualization because they have solved lots of problems that used to exist with security.

There is OpenVZ 7 and Virtuozzo 7, with the former being the free option. You need to install the VzLinux 7 OS to use it though, no more installing a base OS and then installing OpenVZ onto the OS.

Ahh so all the talk about rebranding openvz to Virtuozzo Core went by the wayside and instead they released Openvz 7. How exactly does qemu play a part in this? Did they throw out a lot of the old code that made containers share the same kernel etc?
