All sorted now. There was a power issue but in my rack only due to a dodgy circuit breaker. Seems once my ticket was put to the right people they were able to answer it properly.
All resolved now. I will keep the server and hope service remains stable now.
FWIW they don't provide access to the IPMI webinterface but only the KVM console via their own client area website plugin (presumably something in Ubersmith).
