Low performance dedi for backup, preferably outside US

Looking for a low performance dedi primarily for backup and for testing, if OpenVZ works. Atoms will be fine.

4GB RAM preferred

2TB HDD

5TB @ 100Mbps (Gigabit with same bandwidth will be great)

/29 IPv4

IPv6

Billing Period: Semiannually

Price Range: Around $75 Semiannually

I had an offer from one of the members here, but unfortunately they are out of stock now.

A 2TB Backupsy w/40% off coupon would be $288 semi-annually.  He wants to spend $75...

The cheapest thing I can think of with 2TB (not on one drive though: 2x1TB drives) is Digicube's E350...about $120 with a semi-annual payment. http://www.digicube.fr/rapidserveurs/43
Good point, I only saw the need for backups and then he mentioned dedi and $75

I thought he meant per month so that's why I said Backupsy would work out better.

I prefer a physical system as I can be sure that the network speeds will be stable throughout the day. The processor performance is not a big deal and I think its possible to do atom based servers at that rate.

A single 2TB drive will cost less than two 1TB's right? Correct me if I am wrong. Its for the backup of backups. So, even good quality desktop drives will be fine.

Dedi doesn't make the network speed consistent--that's entirely about the provider's traffic level.

Why do you want a /29 of ipv4?

You are looking to spend $12.5/month for a dedi with 4gb of ram and 2TB of disk, good luck with that.  Even a Kimsufi will run around 2x that much.

1 IP will be good enough, but if the server can support OpenVZ, I can play with VM's for specific backup purposes.

I have seen offers around the range for similar specs, both here and on LET. Also, I have an offer for the same spec from a member here, unfortunately they are out of stock now. Not revealing the name, as I am not sure whether they want to post the offer in public.

Links?

The cheapest providers like OVH/Online.net/Hetzner don't have anything like those specs for that price.

Even changing that $ to a € doesn't get you near.

On a dedicated server $12.50/mo barely covers the space and power to say nothing of bandwidth, hardware, support, etc.

I would recommend either looking for storage only options, or upping your budget a bit.

The 9.99 euros Kimsufi KS-2 N2800 w/4GB RAM is advertised with a 1TB drive but several people on LET have reported receiving 2TB drives  recently so if he's lucky he might get  a 2TB one that meets his specs (except for the /29)

Yeah, but that's the luck of the draw. You can't order one like that, so if you get what you actually ordered, you've wasted a month's fees on a server that's not fit for what you need it for.

OVH don't like to keep people waiting too long, so if they run out of stock on certain servers they give you the next thing they have available of a similar spec.

I have received the server from one of the providers here, within the budget range specified. Mods, you may close the thread.

The most lowest dedicated server price that I noticed at Hetzner but I dont think they can provide above mentioned plan with this Rate. Better check it with their sales Team.
