What could be the cause for auditd to use almost 400% CPU?

As the VPS was suspended (shutdown, made unusable and unaccessable) the /tmp directory is totally empty and after unsuspension the process is not running with the parameters as in the screenshot above. There are many SSH break in attempts in the secure files in /var/log. Well, thanks guys. My...

What could be the cause for auditd to use almost 400% CPU?

It isn't my server. I am just the only administrator on duty so I have to do everything and this includes taking care of abuse, too. The provider reported it to us and we suspended the VPS and now I want to find out why and what. I'm going to unsuspend it and look into it.

What could be the cause for auditd to use almost 400% CPU?

http://linux.die.net/man/8/auditd The Linux Audit Daemon is a malicious process? You may be right, but I really don't know. I find it strange enough that Apache has actually started it and not root. Does zPanel actually require audit? I am having the feeling that hackers may have compromised...

What could be the cause for auditd to use almost 400% CPU?

Good day gentlemen, What could be the reason for the "auditd" process to use almost 400% (roughly 397%) for over 425 hours (431 hours before being suspended)? The process "auditd" was called by the system user "Apache". The box is running CentOS 6 with zPanel, two sites and a private PPTP VPN...

Disable IPv6 inside a OpenVZ Container?

Hola vpsBoard Community, I've been wondering how to disable IPv6 from inside a OpenVZ container when SolusVM failed to disable it? I just clicked on deactivate in SolusVM and rebooted the VM as SolusVM said. The result: IPv6 still bound to venet0/0:0 and pinging... Does SolusVM actually fix...

Coolest traceroute tool? I think so

Would be awesome if they would add a feature to export that whole thing as a image or flash/HTML5.

    OpenNebula Reseller Module?

Well, I am with a provider that uses OpenNebula cloud control panel for their KVM infrastructure. If it really has no reseller module I guess I'll have to request multiple accounts.

    OpenNebula Reseller Module?

Hello everyone, It is the first time that I've come in touch with OpenNebula SunStone cloud control panel for VMs. I have to create multiple VMs and assigned them  to their own account but I'm just a client (not a administrator or so). So I've been wondering if OpenNebula has something like a...

CPUVInf - Raspberry Pi CPU Temperature & Voltage Reader

Script updated to v0.3 but I can't edit my first post. Well, so I guess this won't be updated unless I would make a new topic for every version.

Raspberry Pi + Arduino Project III

Well, here --> http://freevps.us/thread-12733.html is what I did on my Raspberry PI. Made the guide to save it for the future and for everyone else who may want to run a LEMP stack on the Raspberry PI.

Raspberry Pi + Arduino Project III

Hey, That is pretty cool! I have a Raspberry PI B manufactured in 2011.12 and my project is to use it as a private LEMP stack for development of web pages and other stuff (testing scripts, PHP scripts and so on). Thanks for sharing this.
