Does anyone know where I can grab a cheap rack (8U - 12U), to house my home lab? I don't feel like spending $200+ on a 12U frame, especially when I can get a 42U rack for $100! Used or new, it doesn't matter.

We're working on our own solution. It's relatively simple, actually, to do basic OS installations. I'm getting my home server test lab setup next week and will be working on more advanced features (six SuperMicro servers and two Cisco switches, nothing fancy). :)

What about the ASN and registration fees, will those change as well?

$1,200 seems to be pretty reasonable. I'm having 6 servers shipped to my house from Chicago (for dev. purposes) and the shipping is going to be like $200, at least (waiting for the final quote from UPS).

Just setup a new Synology to replace our old IOMega. It's 4 x 4 TB in RAID 5. I have to admit, the user panel is pretty nice and intuitive. I personally don't like the whole desktop-type-site, but it's great for people that aren't that techy.
