    Phone verification?

If it's done right this shouldn't happen. It should stop after the second retry and have other checking algorithms in place. It seems like everything that is currently in the market is just built to call people and take your money instead of protecting you, its clients.

    Phone verification?

@rds100 I'll put some numbers together tomorrow and see if it's viable and I'll let you know.

    Phone verification?

I was actually thinking about developing this and offering it as a service. What exactly would you require and what cost were you thinking? I feel like with MaxMind exiting I will be able to fill their place. Looking for anyone else's input with the features and cost too.

    Raspberry Pi owners?

I have two. I use as a plex client and the other is just sitting on my desk not being used.

    Ferguson - No Indictment

I don't think this thread is really the place for this discussion. It will just loop around in circles and it will get no where.

    Ferguson - No Indictment

I didn't know this was such a big thing until now... I consider myself pretty with current events but this has barely been talked about in Australia. It is now the main article on our Government funded network but the local news still hasn't picked it up...

USB cables that don't suck - anyone?

Personally it was worth buying the cable as it's my main one and it reaches far enough for when I'm laying in bed. I recently purchased a CYGNETT brand cable to use at work for $11 because I needed it immediately, after a month and a half of use the wire casing around the plug has started to split.

USB cables that don't suck - anyone?

I always have the micro usb plug on my phone chargers pull away from the wires. It's due to the angles that I use it at and use while charging. I paid $15 for a 3m micro usb cable where the plug is fully attached to the cord instead of the plug just being a cover. Have not had an issue with it...

    Post your workspace/workarea/job sites :D

Thank you so much. Both of those monitors are ones I am looking at. How do you find they preform? My desk is strong, I've had 3 people sit on the front (non supported side) and it didn't even warp :) I'm not worried about weight. Oh, also do you run multiple graphics cards?

    Post your workspace/workarea/job sites :D

I know you posted a long time ago but I'm looking at setting up something like this. What monitors do you have? What brakets are you using?

    Post your workspace/workarea/job sites :D

How are they mounted? I've been looking at expanding to a setup like this but I can never find exactly what I want.

Home is where the hosting is - I heart localhost

I just have tinc setup between my home server and a couple of VPSs. When I'm outside my network I just tunnel into one of the VPSs and presto I have access to my home server. I hate the idea of having my home stuff accessible publicly. That's the reason it's at home.

Black Friday and Cyber Monday isn't too far away. Who had the best deals last year?

Welcome to Australia. That's for an upgraded Lenovo T440.

Black Friday and Cyber Monday isn't too far away. Who had the best deals last year?

I have a habit of waiting for stuff to go down in price then just keep waiting and then it's obsolete... I don't make many major purchases any more. I've been wanting a laptop for the last 5 months, I just can't bring myself to spend $2k on something I know with be useless in a few years...

QR Codes - Using them yourself or just another dead fad?

Useless from a non business point of view, Google is quicker and if someone has a link they want you to go to they'll just tell you. In logistics and stock tracking they are helpful, all the data you need is on your device instantly without querying a database...
