    GreenValueHost is moving again.

Is he even still in LA? Did he get his debt at Quadranet paid off or did he move elsewhere in the building to one of Colocrossing's rented racks at Quadranet?

    vpsBoard fitness club!

Update time! I do believe at the beginning of the month I weighed in at 234. Just stepped on the scale... 216. I don't believe the results will be as dramatic in month 2, but we'll see. Goal weight is 180 ish. I used to be 'underweight' a few years ago back when I was still active at around...

Things to consider when choosing Colocation?

I've got a 2U dual L5420 server collecting dust that I need to pack with drives and ship off to get connected. This will be used for a personal and backup server, so nothing "production". I've never shopped around for colo before so am curious if there is anything I should know or could easily...

    Video Games Thread o' Doom

Don't play much games, but I do occasionally play GTA5 with a buddy of mine who works a similarly awful work schedule. I just got the new Call of Duty today to do the same as well. I used to play the previous one with some regularity but stopped when one day I logged in and my rank had returned...

    Webhostingtalk / Inet Interactive SOLD!

Premium Memberships weren't too bad a few years ago. The chat thread in the premium section was always fun and pretty laid back. They'd tolerate us making fun of (to a degree) some of the posts and what not made on the regular forums and general dicking around. But it was a nice community then...

    Webhostingtalk / Inet Interactive SOLD!

iNet is more than just WHT, but I'd imagine WHT is the big part of it. HotScripts, that MySQL forum I'm too lazy to look up, etc. Plus the whole HostingCon is ran by iNet. It's a pretty big operation. WHT has changed hands a few times over the years so not all too surprising really.

    Review - AnyNode OpenVZ 1GB

My only complain is lack of new stock. I've got two great VMs there and I'd probably order another if I could. =/

Retailer Forever 21 Keeps the Youth Spirit with Piracy

Haven't needed to since I've been running Linux desktop for years. Everything I need to use is free and doesn't have pop-ups, trial reminders and other bloat. About Forever21, pretty sure this is the same shitty company that was stealing designs from independent artists and making shirts with...

    Satellite Internet, anyone using?

There is satellite services in my general area for those who can't get cable or fiber direct. Someone locally was just complaining that they pay $50/mo for 3Mbps internet out in the sticks, and was only getting about 38Kbps.... I don't know what providers are local to you, but if "Frontier...

    The gun thread

Fixed the embed link since it wasn't showing up. LOL. That was pretty funny. (Even if I disagree with some of it) Jim Jefferies is a great comedian!

A tool to simulate shitty networking serivce that is comically named, "Comcast"

I'm certain someone will get a nice letter sent to them by the kind people at Comcast. I'd have named it Concast or something instead personally.

A tool to simulate shitty networking serivce that is comically named, "Comcast"

Yes, this is a real thing! You can download it here: https://github.com/tylertreat/Comcast Just stumbled across this and wanted to share it here. Unsure if anyone will really get some use out of it, but may be fun to play with regardless!

    How To Contact Support, Properly.

Good idea. Also, it should be noted that generally staff are pretty well versed in the TOS and understand the company's internal policies better than the customer who often times has not read the TOS, SLA, AUP, etc. Keep that in mind before making demands or stating you're entitled to...

Taking Regular & Secure backups on your server

Thanks for the write-up, looks good! Will need to test it out sometime as my backup script is pretty basic.
