Well, airliners of that size generally need 2,800 - 3,000FT of runway to safely land. Lot less for a crash landing. If hijacked, anyone with the resources to organize and carry that out would also have the resources to create a makeshift landing strip somewhere where people won't be looking at...

The best possible scenario is that the plane crashed somewhere and they've just been unable to locate the wreckage. As grim as that sounds, it's a better scenario than it being hijacked. If it was hijacked, landed, and hidden then whatever the intentions would be for the craft in the future...

I think LowEndSpirit does something similar for free or cheap. Bust as most people operate businesses and not charities (no offense) you're going to have a hard time finding someone willing to give you something for free. Now, for interesting projects and uses I've been known to sponsor a VPS...

Mid/west coast USA would be BuyVM, RamNode or SecureDragon. They've all got filtering on the west coast via CNServers I believe. Get a 256MB box and install DNSOnly and have at it.

Why would you wait 2 months for it to be resolved? What provider were you using? Emails are dispatched via Mandrill anyway, but I'm sure the IPs I am assigned from most my providers (RamNode, BuyVM, AnyNode, Hostigation, DigitalOcean, RocketVPS, WiredTree, SecureDragon, etc) would be clean or...
