    Ubuntu Forums Hacked

Yikes! At least they gave a proper and immediate response and chose to announce what may not be common sense for every user, that being the importance of changing any password that may be the same elsewhere that it was there.

    Good podcasts?

Give me something to listen to while I sit here and work. Usually listening to music, but that can be distracting when I need to change rooms on Turntable or go through my YouTube playlist of stuff I like. Would be nice to listen to people talking instead. So, send me some podcast suggestions...

    Whats your home connection speed?

Ohh, I get 8MB/s when tunneling my traffic through my VPN upstate. 2MB/s when I tunnel my traffic through a server 1,000+ miles away. Could be worse.

Whats up with VPSNodes? Summer isn't over yet, folks.

Saw this offer on LEB: http://www.lowendbox.com/blog/vpsnodes-7-2048mb-openvz-vps-in-dallas-texas/ An unheard of, random, $7/mo for 2GB RAM company. Great, just what the market needs. WhoIS info shows: Registered through: GoDaddy.com, LLC (http://www.godaddy.com) Domain Name...

    Is HVH owned by Colocrossing?

I don't know. 'sysadmin' said I could post a thread on LET in regards to it if I wanted, but I'd rather not. Seems pointless if I can't refer to the original claim (this thread) as reference for why the thread was created.

    Is HVH owned by Colocrossing?

Sorry to bump this old thread, but was browsing LEB offers this evening and came across a HVH offer. So, appears they have some sort of 'financial relationship' with Colocrossing. At least we got a semi-official word from a CC employee.

What do you use your Raspberry Pi for?

Classy, I know. I can't afford an office like this: But that Raspberry Pi case would ad a bit of class to my otherwise un-classy desk, haha.

Any VPSes being offered in Chicago utilizing Singlehop's facility?

Just something different, really. Lot of Chicago providers but most are spread between just a couple facilities.

For the sake of being fair, I will change mine as well then. ;)

PayPal Mistakenly Credits Delaware Man’s Account with $92 Quadrillion Dollars

You could build a yacht out of  strippers for that amount. The ugly ones go at the bottom of the yacht, where they will drown but remain buoyant. Then you sail to your private island made of brand new MRI machines that you just dump in the ocean (because MRI machines are expensive) and chill.

    New signature guidelines.

Yeah. My main gripe was just signatures that tried to make eyes focus on them instead of the content of the response or thread. It's understandable, I know why people do it and not everyone is guilty of it and I don't blame them for trying. But the fact is, signature text by default is smaller...
