    Happy 25th Birthday MannDude!

And a good birthday it was. Went camping, cooked steaks over a fire and made chili and potatoes. Food turned out amazing. Drank way more than I should have and it didn't rain too much (Though it was raining half the time). T'was a good night.

vpsBoard contest (1/3) Win a free CatalystHost VPS for a year!

It's not just you, it's everyone. I'll have to cross reference all the 'no name' IP's to member IPs so everyone is accounted for. I've got 50+ pages of referral logs to process to do this. I believe the top listing is a result of members who physically typed your name in the box. It's sort of a...

Let's track the ranking of this forum...

Strange, as GA shows that the top traffic by country would be US, UK, then Canada, followed by Australia. Alexa shows India, then US, then UK followed by Sri Lanka. Strange.

    Best Desktop

XFCE, though I have been using OpenBox lately and love just how customizable it is. I've got a couple minor complaints but nothing to bad. For eyecandy, Mate and Cinnamon aren't bad on the eyes, though they're still both glitchy and not as light on the resources as I'd like. Unity, is horrible...

    Happy 25th Birthday MannDude!

It's his birthday too! Show him some birthday love! Thanks for all the birthday wishes. Been trying to get caught up on rewatching all of Arrested Development in time for the new mini season and drinkin' burrrs with the room mates.

Looking for Chicago, IL (non-ColoCrossing) VPS

I just recently got a VPS from SouthBendServers as I am in Indiana it's nice to be able to have a VPS closer to home. Still too early to be able to give any review, though I would recommend them as a contender in your search unless you specifically require a Chicago VPS or Chicago based IP.

Suggest a free web hosting control panel

Kloxo isn't half bad really. It was always my go-to panel if I needed something free and fast.

    Birthday gifts

Tomorrow is my birthday too, and another good friend of mine. May 25th is surely a great day. My family isn't made of money. I'm lucky to get a phonecall or acknowledgement from the father, not that we're on bad terms, just because I'm a 'grown ass man' and after I turned 18 (moved out on my...

    Cheapest Dedis With KVM Support

Datashack, I found, was surprisingly great. Only used them for two months for a test OpenVZ node for learning/messing around with but the couple times I submitted a ticket, they responded within MINUTES. The network wasn't bad for the price, the uptime (during my short stay) was great. Couldn't...

    Good Dedicated Server Providers

Have you checked the offers section? Just kidding. Have you looked at burstnet or a Server Stadium reseller?

What do you look for in a provider?

As the title suggests, curious what everyone here looks for in a provider. When you find a provider that has caught your eye, what are things you do before you proceed with ordering? Personally, I find most offers and companies I do business with via forums. I see how they represent themselves...

    Audio on my Linux PC?

Nah, he's a glorified Windows user. I've been using Linux as a desktop off/on for going on six or seven years now, with at least the last 4 being strictly Linux. I've never had an issue with Linux detecting hardware devices or using them properly in the past. Now, through some randomness I...
