    Alcohol of Choice

Hehe yeah I like to keep and have a few bottles of wine myself.  I'm not that much of an aficionado but I do know the small differences here and there.   I personally enjoy white wine more than red wine :P but that's also because I enjoy chilled drinks more!

    Networking Hardware

I was talking with a few close friends who work full time for ISPs around in the United States and it got on the topic of networking hardware. Now, I will 100% admit this isn't my strong suite and I really need to brush up even more on my reading, but what do you look for in networking...

    Alcohol of Choice

Alright lets do this. You'd be surprised the vast majority of the people here aren't 12/13/17 years old. So lets hear it.  What's your favorite drink? Beer?  Cocktail?  Mixed Drink?  Wine?  Straight up Liquor? I'm more of a nice beer type of guy.  My days of heavy consumption is now over...

You wouldn't download a car, would you? How about, 3D print a castle?

So... Are we just going to wait it out or are we going to pull a deceptive move?

You wouldn't download a car, would you? How about, 3D print a castle?

Civil Engineer here (EIT License)! You're absolutely correct! From the looks of the picture only forces involved seems to be compression force from the weight of the structure itself. In addition, the arch design in itself is mostly compression forces distributed down each ends (similarly how a...

    Home Network Setup

Right now I'm on a Comcast Business line with the following network configuration: The standard Motorola Modem from Comcast (I didn't put this in place), Server 2008 to handle DHCP and DNS (a total pain to deal with at times) connected to a 28 port switch. This 28 port switch connects the third...

    New Hostbill version is released.

I kinda wish Hostbill was actually... not so crazy with their prices. I'd love to use Hostbill actually over other systems.

    Facebook offline?

It's actually like an internet directory. Also known as the NSA Watch List.

    Facebook offline?

Haha I bet you it's still part of that social experiment Facebook did. A month or so back they had Facebook go down for like an hour or so for a select number of people just to see the response. This was probably the large-scale version of that. Or... someone really did trip on a wire.

    URPad DDoS Protected 1GB VPS

Haha. I don't think that's something you want to aspire to. But great review! Really enjoyed it and appreciate your input on it! I personally have never been a fan of URPad (even before RTL joined in), but glad everything's working out for ya! Out of curiosity, how were the support techs over...

    ServerHub LEB 3R

Yeah... their ToS about 30 days notice is an interesting one as well. Luckily when I cancelled my ServerHub VPS (due to different reasons) a quick talk with their billing guy cleared everything up for me (a one-time deal). I can't comment on IPv6 because I don't use it as frequently as you @D...

Howdy there! It's probably best for you to move your question to here: Also, talk with your upstream provider to get you delisted.

Video card suggestion with good Linux support?

Haha well the salvage yard I went to is right next to a university that's phasing out their old hardware for newer ones. I saw an i5 with 4GB RAM and 500 GB HDD for 175 USD. It just depends on when you get there.

Video card suggestion with good Linux support?

Go to the local salvage yard. Pick up a computer that has a video card. Boom. I paid 45 dollars for a desktop (Core2duo, 8 GB RAM, 500 GB HDD, plus an old old video card). Just get the video card for dual monitor purposes and use the onboard on it as a crappy local file server or something.

    foobar2000 Mobile Kickstarter

I mostly use Spotify right now. But once I leave the states again I'll be switching back to doubletwist. I'd rather use foobar though!
