    foobar2000 Mobile Kickstarter

So we all know Foobar. It's the most popular (besides iTunes) music player software available. It does everything. Well they've been running a kickstarter for $100k USD for to develop a Mobile version of Foobar on all platforms (Apple, Android, and Microsoft). This software looks pretty great...

    Projects for idle VPS?

It's because those scripts take up too much resources and are more fit for a dedicated server than a VPS. You could probably run a honeypot or something like that. A mirror is probably more useful if it's permanent.

    Advice for a new host...

Edited that post for ya man. You probably don't want to release where you work (at least yet ;) ) Nice. Just remember to take whatever anyone says with a grain of salt. Use proper reasoning and understand why that suggestion was given. Usually I disagree with this logic of thinking. Mostly...

    Advice for a new host...

Yikes I came pretty late to the party. What @MartinD stated bluntly that I'll reiterate in a more friendly term is that there are a ton of people who assume slapping cPanel on a VM and getting WHMCS (or in your case IPB) to automate payment as a way to start a "company". Most of the people who...

DigitalOcean vs Vultr - The Asian Face-off

Haha well it's mostly just for the available data starting off ;) Choosing DO Singapore because it's closer/better for you is definitely reasonable! Personally for me it was way too much trouble to go through, especially since the network goes to Japan anyways before heading down South. Haha...

    Proxmox

Yeah if I recall Proxmox's HA availability requires some specific design specs and needs a ton of tinkering with. I know when I originally tried setting up Proxmox in HA cluster mode it required some specific configurations I didn't have available at the time (probably because it was two dedis...

How much bandwidth do you use per day?

Haha well dang! 552 GB is a ton even for basic/simple Browsing, IRC, SSH, and e-mail! That's 592,705,486,848 characters! Around 493,920,768 pages of text assuming 5 characters per word and around 200 words per page! That's one big book coming through your internet pipe! :)

    INIZ - one year review

Haha yeah I'm well aware what snappy meant, just simply stating that snappy is a relative term and therefore isn't really that useful unless given explanation. What's snappy for you could be different to me ;) Thanks yeah this is exactly what I was asking for :)

    INIZ - one year review

Thanks for the review of Iniz's services! What do you mean by "feel that snappy"?

    The Official vpsBoard Meme thread.

Oh geeze. Also the entire "I'm letting it soak" excuse.

    DNS reflection

More than likely this means you had an open resolver online on your VPS. You can either shut off your DNS or edit the config file to not make it an open resolver. If your VPS is not running as a nameserver or anything really that even uses the DNS service, then its probably for the best to...

ICANN suspends Brandon Gray Internet Services (AKA Domain Registry of America, DROC, etc)

YES FINALLY. I've been getting these for a while now. It's always a terrible terrible thing they're doing.

    B2 Net Solutions / Servermania - Shifting ColoCrossing's Spam

Funny thing. The other day one of CC's IPs tried to brute force through my Wordpress installation.   Got to send a fun little abuse e-mail to them.  Hopefully they take care of that!

    cPanel Supports LiteSpeed Web Server

Fantastic!  I've seen Lightspeed be used more and more now, and while I've personally never used it before, I'm definitely getting more and more interested in it as an alternative to Apache. Thanks for dropping by!

update on $1 per year vps idea (32MB Club)

This isn't a simple comparison between our services and yours. It's a statement that you're selling 500 VMs on a desktop computer.
