Back to my original point. A client is sending out a DOS attack. The process doesn't seem obvious from the top command. Using only command line utilities, how do you determine who the culprit is and how do you suspend their vps?

A 404 page would be simpler still.

Preferably a website of some kind. Perhaps write content and then design around it. Visit your website under the assumption that you're a new visitor with absolutely no clue what a VPS is or what your website is for. A website is a presentation.

There's no design, just a title and two package tables.

After reading where this is going, here's my take. 1. You're dumb. Acknowledge this truth and seek someone with more wisdom to craft a solution to this problem. I'm not insulting you, I'm being nice enough to say in plain speak what everyone else is dancing around. 2. Refer to number one.

    Install OpenVZ on CentOS 6

It's been a while and my memory may be off, but aren't they also slower to update their Debian repo than their RHEL repo? The OpenVZ project that is. Pretty sure the Debian repo doesn't have the latest kernel in it. I know repo isn't a big deal, but hey if you can save time where spending extra...

    Install OpenVZ on CentOS 6

To my knowledge most providers use SolusVM and that is typically installed on top of RHEL based distros.

I like to think of proxmox for openvz as training wheels.

[Catalyst Host] 35% off all plans. KVM starting at $6.50/m, OpenVZ @ $5.19/m.

Open a ticket and ask Ryan what promo options he might be willing to throw at you :) No guarantees on what he'll offer you, but he'll be as fair as he can.

We use SATA drives. In our OpenVZ nodes there are two possible scenarios: 4x 7200RPM enterprise SATA @ RAID10 on LSI 9260-4i 8x 7200RPM enterprise SATA @ RAID10 on LSI 9260-8i On our KVM and currently planned for any future OpenVZ nodes: 6x 7200 RPM SATA @ RAID10 + 2x SSD @ RAID1 for cache...

Whats up with VPSNodes? Summer isn't over yet, folks.

I think it would be excessively cautious to refer to the result of this logic as less than absolute known truth. This time it is not enough to question, it is a clear indication of something almost known but still holding a shred of reasonable doubt, until now.

    WHMCS Vuln again?

I saw their site go down, I guess that guy followed through with his DDOS threat. Their host doesn't seem to mind hosting their content even with such incoming attacks, as they are still hosted at 37.221.160.39 / ixam-hosting.com. Interesting that a host using WHMCS would be so willing to host...
