    SolusVM WHMCS Module Vulnerability

I hope you're wrong. Take the LET > VPSB move. I never thought there would be any major move away from LET due to inertia. But there was. Hopefully someone will come through with a really good product and people will wake up, take notice, and switch.

    KVM BLOWOUT 512MB RAM $30/yr 1024MB RAM $6/month - Crissic Solutions, LLC

Good to hear. You wouldn't be able to tell us what that 3rd is, would you? HE, Cogent, Level3? Any of those would be great additions.

    SolusVM WHMCS Module Vulnerability

...To put it mildly. Really whether real change comes at this point depends on if SVM realizes that people are willing to ditch their product due to these issues and the utter lack of transparency. (They are, aren't they?) If there's any chance that sales will continue despite this, nothing will...

    SolusVM WHMCS Module Vulnerability

I hope you're right. Selling VPSes is getting to be enough of a headache without vulnerabilities in the underlying bits. I do come off a bit pessimistic there, really I'm excited to see some of the (hopefully better) software that will come out of these fiascoes.

Using mutt to send mail from a Gmail account...

:D Seriously, this does seem like a good way to send yourself notes or even log files without installing a whole mail stack. I like a lot of the other stuff that's in the linked article, especially the Dropbox thing. Need a file on the server for later? Dump it in a "to servers" folder.

    KVM BLOWOUT 512MB RAM $30/yr 1024MB RAM $6/month - Crissic Solutions, LLC

Pricing is good, but I don't like the network at all. No IPv6, and only Telia and nLayer upstream? Not a fan of either of those, routing is inefficient. Have to pass here :(

    SolusVM WHMCS Module Vulnerability

What fun. What will be next? I'm still waiting for the vulnerability in OpenVZ and/or KVM themselves. The main software of this industry is going to shit, anytime now it will be the actual technologies it is based on. $7/mo dedis or bust!

    Incero Review - AVOID

Boston would be awesome. Mostly 'cause it's right near me :) In regards to the Incero thing, I think it's perfectly legitimate to dump someone who you feel will be a "problem customer" going forward. Save yourself the headache when there are lots of other people who will be reasonable, thankful...

    Specific IP Request

Sorry if I missed this before but does Runescape calculate PID the same with IPv6? If so, you can get a KVM VPS with a Hurricane Electric tunnel, where you can easily make the last two bytes anything you want. Also, while I appreciate the desire to summarize things, I think this should be...

A new, faster version of Wi-Fi was officially rubber-stamped Wednesday

802.11ac is hardly "new". It's been available for at least a few months now. Same as 802.11n - routers had it before the Wi-Fi alliance certified it. If only it worked that way with useful new drugs and the FDA.

    One very nice .co.uk domain

I figured that would be the domain you were selling when you said it was a "nice .co.uk". But I thought you used that as your personal "about me" domain?

    AnyNode, Exclusive Trial?

I got one two, I don't consider it spam, just a legitimate offer by a provider wanting to get their name out there. So far, actually, I've been impressed with anyNode. After I got the PM I opened a ticket with them asking about their network, panel, and locations. The responses were prompt and...

    LEB not working?

LEB works for me. I get that error on Lowendtalk. Is that what you meant?

    Where are you from?

I live in the town of Nashua, NH. It's right on the New Hampshire-Massachusetts border. The population is very similar to @Otakumatic's, about 86,000. It's not a bad little town, all the usual stores and restaurants you'd expect. Nice and close to two airports: Manchester Regional, where I go...

    SolusVM Security Update!

Somehow I get the feeling that this update won't do that much to restore confidence in SVM. I know I still don't place much confidence in it.

    Kevin Hillstrand is a fraud

I'm a bit late to the whole "call out CVPS on their many lies" game, but my question is why? Why did Adam try to convince everyone there was a Kevin? To make the company look bigger?

New Backupsy Dallas, TX (Incero) Location -> 500GB KVM for $7/month

Yeah, Dallas has some great bandwidth. Too bad Incero still hasn't rolled out IPv6. Still, a great addition overall.

    PayPal in WHMCS

Not a provider here or anything, but might it be useful for comparison purposes for fraud prevention? If the address is confirmed, that is.
