Since WHT isn't the same as 5+ years ago, where's all the 'good' traffic gone to?

LET has drama?  I thought they wanted no more of that :)  It does generate interest and there is no arguing that.  Problem is how to have drama along with healthy portion of good constructive.   Balance thing. As far as LET thriving, well, it has seen its peak.  Arguably its time is passing...

    Anyone used a Symple PC?

I like the reuse model. With ARM prices though, it's used in a new case competing with something new and lesser electric consumption.  Now, all that said, the whole electric thing people make quite a bit of noise about.  Low power matters if you are trying to run off grid.   For everyone else...

Since WHT isn't the same as 5+ years ago, where's all the 'good' traffic gone to?

I think a lot of folks miss the economic reality of the past 10 years.  You folks probably have blindness based on well to do locality you reside in. Lots of people are out of tokens to play life.   Out of spare cash for non essentials. Middle class (and not just in the US) has been beat down...

Largest Child Porn Ring Ever Disrupted ... in Canada

Well, in fairness, this is a national investigation so people are going to be based around Ontario.  Meaning the idea of who is where in this might be off. The other big datacenter operator not being mentioned would be Peer1. But Cogeco did buy them.  Unsure how they are reporting income...

Nexim Web Hosting Email Spam - GVH Client Database

I think this is because people don't hold these companies accountable.   Easy to say, 'going to sue'.  Hardly anyone takes the action though. Big piece is people don't know their rights and what remedies are available to them (me included). Whole emphasis on privacy is about to swell up all...

    The future of web design

Web dev certainly has plummeted.  However, in the past there really wasn't much affordable out there.  Now there is a good bit of affordable web design ($50-$400).   The expensive stuff still exists though, but I suspect with less business. I never found the niche to be profitable.   Unless...

How many of you have your own hosts?

Have own hosting servers? Is that a question about who is a provider or just who has their owned servers in datacenters? I'm not a provider but have colo units out there that are owned legacy stuff.  Hoping to place some newer gear this year in other locations. Nothing fancy, a 1U or 2U here...

Nexim Web Hosting Email Spam - GVH Client Database

I was just chuckling thinking about folks like being discussed here.   Just imagine if they ran retail businesses like this.   Imagine being busted for selling off or giving customer details to the business down the road.   Imagine these guys dealing with people in real life, at the register, at...

Nexim Web Hosting Email Spam - GVH Client Database

It was an intentional word play @lbft "Someone who use to be involved in GVH and owns said company deserves some time in a pair of handcuffs and some legalized sodomy to break his ass into the real world." Literally, a play on the common adage of being f'd by the system; to indicate legal...

Unsure what Kaus used, but he clearly violated multiple laws.   Have to be running a pretty shitty failco to go trying to attract GVH VPS customers (assuming that he grabbed Solus dbase). Lance, teehee  that poor guy.  Look at what shows up front side in Google...
