^^^ Uncle Fran with the slapshot.  +1.

    East Coast DDOS Filtering

Sharktech?  Where's my cardboard mini itx rack? :) The long ass high latency backhauling, that stupidity needs to stop or folks need to find datacenters closeby / same network upstream / private fiber / whatever. NY filtering = overdue east coast filtering, with low cost and low latency...

    Volumedrive about to deadpool?

Burst's public website is still down. What a bunch of bumbling do-dos Burst is. Nah, man just leave our corporate site down. That site gets a boatload of traffic and certainly is a common path to the cash register. They give venture money to these guys ehh? Well, at least their entire...

Anyone have experience with Cherokee web server ?

I'm real familiar with Cherokee :) Last check the project was idle on development and releases were lagging or stopped. It has an AWESOME web based GUI for setup.  Best I've seen for any web server. Speed wise, Cherokee is capable.   If you poke around on their website there are performance...

Audio inputs galore - managing the audio overload

No satellite speaker system... Basically amplifier and speakers around the room, but not a radio or component rack. Nothing "satellite" related.  Unsure where the term came from or if just some regional or country type naming.

    Volumedrive about to deadpool?

Is it me or is Burst.net's own website offline? Looks like they've been down for hours now... Oh boy... Smacked VD and now VD stricken by malicious traffic.

If I rolled CF anywhere it would be the open source interpreter, not Adobe's extortionware  :)

    Volumedrive about to deadpool?

Cousin @RyanD with the slapshot.  +1 point. $32 lease + $13 facility cost = $45  $50 selling price = $5 to divvy up. Of course straight product sales were their bread makers --- VPSes.  Still too lean. Hoping other mega cheap providers of all sorts take note of this event :)

Audio inputs galore - managing the audio overload

G'day chaps! I have this pile of computers, tablets, "smart"phones, etc.  Audio galore.    Most of them have the sound output with built in speakers that is laughable and annoying.  Prone to inducing terrible sound and headaches. Historically I had a pile of cables that went to a mixer and...

    Volumedrive about to deadpool?

Yes sir, Burst knows the lease company well as do other major facilities in US Southeast.  Burst probably already cuts the company money and certainly makes referrals, so, inheriting that gear will likely be sweetheart deal.  That's the only reason they are attempting to do what they are...

    vpsBoard advertisements and availability

I have  an ad solution.  Working on perfecting the install and all for demo'ing as soon as all is in place. Have to do this work anyways as outstanding to-do list. :)

    Volumedrive about to deadpool?

Burst can't win no matter what the DO or DO NOT DO in this pileup. Unless the Repo Man finds and hits VD up, I see VD springing back to life and total hilarity ensuing. VD will be a goner.  So as others said, name change time.

    Volumedrive about to deadpool?

Ahh TLDR, @MartinD is VD really was a semi-early disruptor and they ran things pretty poorly. Whole bunch of people long ago had dates on the calendar for VD implosion.  Bunch of us whiney types long tired of their network crap non stop (malicious, spam, etc.). For now, #winning = BurstNet...

Openvz 45% off for life | KVM from $4/m | Crissic Solutions, LLC

Shh, they offer of Colocrossing's network in Cali too :)  But, I like @SkylarM for having the sense to omit that over here as zero traction would occur. Or did I mean to say attraction? Good packages with big transit.    Someone report back if they pick one up.

    Volumedrive about to deadpool?

What? People get paid in this industry segment?  I thought it was all perks based :) Oh, that happened ehh?  Have at it over there on WHT.  I am trying to catch up on the thread.  That's umm good and bad.  VD comes back to life then cat fight big time over that move.

    East Coast DDOS Filtering

Ahh so Joe is only running the DDoS protect directly from Portlan-dia now :)  Good idea. See that now.  Yes, a slight different offering. (as I go and shop and test SD's location in Portland)

What would you pay a premium for?

Ahh, cool. The lowend is woah :)   Not many folks able to afford to even buy lunch from low end income. Some things that I'd pay for: 1. Multiple locations. 2. Ability to self migrate. 3. Resource pooling. 4. On demand account increases (self administered) 5. Access via panel and...

What would you pay a premium for?

I need to look at Bespoke.  This isn't the first time in the past week someone was kicking around the Bespoke solution idea. Your post seems fragmented. ...won't be too expensive vs. pay a premium vs. rethink... low end servers.. Plus .... ... consulting ... Bespoke hosting ... Billr ...
