  To reiterate, someone has posted that they have at least 3 hacks for SolusVM that are unknown and have given a 12 hour timeline for providers to lock things down. Their rationale is that they reported the vulnerabilities to Solus and Solus hasn't done squat.

  Didn't Stallion originally have roots in Solus?  (not to get off track) I've never heard of Fran bringing Stallion to market as a product for other providers.  Might not be a bad idea though.

ChicagoVPS is a total crap heap. This is the second hack since November. Yeah, there is a full database dump floating around too it seems. Did anyone see what was in that database passwords file?

That reminds me of the ChicagoVPS hack in November that wasn't declared in public and admitted by Chris for a good three months, well the database theft part. The 1000 VPSes that were purged, lots noticed the day of the event.

So aside from board favorite RamNode, who else fell victim to the SolusVM exploit? Anyone noticed other low end or even high end providers that were victimized?

Glad to see this topic and hopefully more folks will come on in on this thread and talk about true low end installs. Many OpenVZ providers seem to stick the plain bloated install images in there system.  Unsure why they do this as opposed to using with Debian the minimal installs as the...

Well, after grumblings for over a year and some loud horn blowers screaming "BEWARE" enough probing and digging was done to establish folks running the site and some similar misbehavior. A big enough contingent of folks looked/shared/saw data and research to all but clarify the story folks...

Anyone using/have/recommend a very small my.cnf config for 128MB or less RAM server? Know the topic has been punted around here and there.   Never bookmarked and/or tried one.  Today is one of those days to experiment. Anyone have one?
