    BuyVM.NET / BuyShared.NET - Shared - $5/year | Resellers - $2.00/month! Dedicated IPv4! SSD RAID!

No sweat, sorry it's being so annoying :( CageFS makes things a lot harder. Right now we're playing with 512MB<>1GB. This doesn't mean each account can burn that all the time. If you provision 20 accounts and run them into the wall you're going to have a bad time. Francisco

Fair enough. I've enabled 'gem' for you. You can tell gem to install within your homedir, that way you can install bundle & rake yourself. Francisco

Reply with the output in the ticket and I'll poke around. It's probably because it doesn't have access to a caching folder. Sorry, working away from the computer that has access to WHMCS :P Francisco

See if that helps. I can run 'rake' inside of my test users cage, but I know jack about ruby so I don't know how to 'use' it. EDIT - http://www.binarytides.com/quick-tip-installing-ruby-gems-in-the-users-home-directory/ Francisco

No sweat :) I probably need to add it to cagefs. Just get that in and I'll handle it. Francisco

What tools are available to monitor for abuse?

We've had more than a few cases where nodeping reports a node/router down all the while I'm logged into it working on something else. No lag, no loads, etc. We ended up having to tune back the timeouts at nodeping to make it not freak out on us so much. We may build something down the road, not...

    HudsonValleyHost Spamming the Helpdesk

That is his core product, though. Remember the 100TB bandwidth plans? He justified whatever bandwidth overages he had with 'well I nailed down some VPN companies that bought enough to offset stuff some'. If the plans were constantly profitable he'd still offer them, he wouldn't be banning any...

    HudsonValleyHost Spamming the Helpdesk

Blacklotus did it too. Staminus had some foul up where a CC field was used instead of a BCC and someone at BL spammed all the customers offering BL services instead. In the end Jeff simply didn't care and shrugged it as 'Shit happens, delete it'. Limestone also DMCA'd LE when it was under...

    HudsonValleyHost Spamming the Helpdesk

So because it's 'targetted' it makes it OK? But if it was ViagraCrossing it'd be bad and should be punished? SPAM is SPAM any way you cut it. Some don't take the 'cold calls' as hard as other types of spam, but it's still the same. Francisco

Each RIR receives additional IPv4 allocation from IANA

If only :) Now that i've thought about it, there was no way ARIN could ever do "last /8" rules like RIPE. So many huge corporations are in the US that they need to be able to approve large allocations. Microsoft got a /14 the other week and I expect amazon to request something similar pretty...

They aren't the first colocrossing company to do it either. There's a post from 2012 where they were spamming VPS providers to buy from them before they snagged up LE. I think one of their staffers replied with "well, if you aren't interested just delete it". Francisco

    RaidLogic.net out of business?

This one caught me off guard. They aren't charging a 'cheap' price so it shouldn' be funding that is putting them under. I do know they had a lot of their platform with burstnet so maybe with the whole fustercluck in Scranton it hit home more than was let on? Francisco

Will the Mothership Land in Buffalo (aka DC's eating their young)

All the run of the mill clouds are likely just to make more long term money while dedi's try to fill IP allocations. Quadra was originally charging $15/month for their 512MB cloud offering as noted here: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=1357071&highlight=quadranet They were...
