I already picked up one of the top ads. You should mention key features we offer, like the DDOS filtering. The $15/y wouldn't be a bad plan to focus. Francisco

Hello everyone, We're in need of some banners for BuyVM to advertise on here as well as for our affiliate program rolling out later today. We're in need of a 125x125 as well as a 728x90. We'd like to keep this professional so no spinning pony's or things like that. We don't have a firm price...

    ARIN Phase III has started

If those RIR's give the space to ARIN they could but ARIN can't just walk in and jack them or something. The IP's were given to each RIR by IANA.

    AtratoIP in the troubles

Here ya' go: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showpost.php?p=8725929&postcount=247 I had a really bad experience when I used leaseweb many moons ago but I give them a big thumbs up for doing what they did. Twice. They did the same thing for the rapidspeed people too. Francisco

    AtratoIP in the troubles

Both actually :) Rapidspeeds went broke I think. They were doing 1gig unmetered and lots of 'we will ignore all dmcas if you buy this gear'. The owner was a funny guy going on about buying a $90k brocade and how he had 40Gbit/sec to himself out of leaseweb. Hostplate resold boxes and had...

    AtratoIP in the troubles

It's amazing how many hosts go broke in NL. *So* many of them resell dedi's from leaseweb for almost no profit margin, target the rapidshare/etc pushers and then go broke. There was one host on WHT that got all their racks turned off because they didn't pay their bills twice. Francisco

VPS with a single SSD as storage

Uh... RAID 0 is much much much worse than a JBOD through LVM. With the LVM you'll be able to recoup most of your data during a failure, where as a drive completely failing in an 0 = you're boned. Francisco

    East Coast DDOS Filtering

It'll be no worse than the latency to 199.195.255.1. Given the amount of peering in NY it's likely to be a decent amount less. 60 - 70ms max to London as Buffalooed said. Francisco

    anyNode Discontinues Chicago Location

I linked this off to Seamus so he'll get a reply soon. His idle time is 4 hours though so it's likely he's asleep since he's Eastern. From what he said in #frantech the amount of users over there wasn't enough to justify physically moving the nodes to Detroit, so instead he's just vzmigrating...

    Yet Another SolusVM Alternative: VPSM

It'd not be opensource then, it'd just be unencrypted :) Not to nitpick but I wouldn't want someone to license your work then start handing it around just because they read it was 'open source'. I'm not sure if you plan to have a license server in place or to use the honour system. Francisco

What happened to that hosted one that nenolod was ripping some serious ass over? Started with a 'K'... Francisco

    East Coast DDOS Filtering

$4.00/m is what we all agreed on. There's some people that really want it at $3.00/m but oh well :) I'll post more news once I got a confirmation. Francisco

    Yearly LEB w/ IPv6 LAX

Figured it was known - woops! Some providers backhaul from SJC (abovenet does I think) but HE/Cogent pull from LAX :) Best of luck on your hunt! Francisco

    Yearly LEB w/ IPv6 LAX

LV backhauls from LA so you're arguing about 1 - 2ms :) Francisco

We offer dedicated /64's with each VM now. You can enable it in stallion and assign however many, as well as explicitly, which V6's you want. Francisco

    anyNode Discontinues Chicago Location

Continuum is rough. While they've offloaded some of their DDOS issues onto blacklotus, it's simply taken way too long to get that far. They've had huge network issues, almost always ddos for years now. Francisco
