    East Coast DDOS Filtering

Been informed it'll be 1 - 2 weeks before they're ready to set us up. Not terrible, but I would have liked it sooner :P Francisco

Limestone Networks now offering Enterprise DDoS Protection $25/mo

They were all wanting it to resell so they wanted some more meat on the bone is all. Back on topic :) Francisco

Limestone Networks now offering Enterprise DDoS Protection $25/mo

It's not a big deal. Sure I'd love to break even the product within the first month but we fully expect to float it for a while. We had a few users wanting large blocks but most of them were after deeper discounts. Francisco

Limestone Networks now offering Enterprise DDoS Protection $25/mo

CN has a decent setup but they got screwed on some bandwidth contracts with nlayer like I said. Our NY location is going to cost 5x more than what we pay on the west coast. Francisco

Limestone Networks now offering Enterprise DDoS Protection $25/mo

I'm assuming bandwidth costs. CNServers was originally heading to the east coast but they got jerked around by nlayer. Francisco

Where do you think the best possible location for a VPS to be?

Jack used to...or still does? I'm not sure. At first I thought he moved everything into CC but it seems he still has his limestone box? Francisco

Limestone Networks now offering Enterprise DDoS Protection $25/mo

CN is in Portland :P I think the point he's trying to make is that there's no advantage since it's backhauled from blacklotus. It isn't like they rolled out their own platform and it added a new player to the market. Francisco

#whois 199.59.161.194 | grep OrgName OrgName:        Black Lotus Communications Yup. There's like 6 hops in that trace that are all BL. Francisco

    Average cPanel VPS license cost?

They're just eating some of the cost since they charge plenty on the VPS itself. From what I've heard cPanel has been renegotiating everyone's contracts and bumping their prices into new brackets. Singlehop still does cheap licenses but they could be subsidizing it with the cost of the...

Colocrossing single homed nLayer in LAX?

They do something like this in SJC. In SJC they have some transit with EGI for failover I think but the rest is nlayer. Francisco

Let me guess....minecrafts? :/ Your prices are solid for minecraft boxes so I honestly wouldn't be surprised. Fran

    East Coast DDOS Filtering

I got those details worked out, as well as price :) I don't have a setup timeline yet, though. All this thread is for is to judge what kind of demand there is. I wouldn't bother setting it up if I only got 10 people signing up or something. We're willing to eat the cost over time but only for...

    East Coast DDOS Filtering

Nothing as of right now. If we built a new location it'd be in Europe probably. Francisco

    East Coast DDOS Filtering

Remember this is the budget market so if we go at $6/m someone will try to undercut us then complain in a few months when they're bleeding money on said venture :) I think $4.00/m is reasonable since the filtering is also better than what we have in LV. Francisco

INIZ Launches New OpenVZ.IO Locations in New York City & Los Angeles

There's much bigger limiters in OVZ than just RAM. When you're stacking CT's that high and you have clients actually pushing it? You're going to have a lot of issues. Francisco
