I have seen no such issues with my own blog posts, and frankly Google doesn't really matter that much to begin with. This is a community, not an advertising board.

You're not "reporting". You're advertising. Those are two fundamentally different things. Reporting is done by neutral third parties.

Have a look at the posters of said threads. As I already said, it's rarely the companies themselves - it's forum users who are reporting on what is happening elsewhere in the industry. Generally in a neutral manner, not a glossy 'press release'. It's not about arguing. It's about not liking...

That's not a hard one to answer: hype. Making everything "mobile first" and looking like Facebook is a great way to market and sell your product, even if the end result is utterly unusable. There's a reason that "building the next Facebook" is a running gag on freelancing sites.

I honestly can't stand the new "Unread content" view. Complete information overload. Near impossible to keep track of what I've looked at, and what interests me.

Can we have our "New content" back? The current "Unread content" thing is hell to navigate, and bad enough to make me just not bother at all... Some on IRC also complained about it, and I can imagine this causing a serious drop in activity.

If something goes wrong, you enforce your contract. In most of the Western world, this is a responsibility of the legal system, and not of the payment processor.

I think you misunderstand. In eg. Germany or the Netherlands, it can be perfectly reasonable for a company to not process CCs, and only accept SEPA transfers (and maybe PayPal as an addition). This does not make them somehow "not professional" - expectations vary by country. Credit cards are not...

Do you happen to know what their exact facilities are? Datacenter/facility name and actual city, basically. Lots of providers advertise with "the biggest city nearby", so I'm a bit wary adding providers without having that information first.

CBTNuggets has some great stuff. Followed some of their 'video courses' for Cisco preparation, and they're very easy to understand.

I'd very much recommend Node.js. Very easy to pick up (especially if you already know JS), generally decent documentation all around the ecosystem, package management that doesn't get in your way. Especially when wanting to learn something new (and gain a different perspective to solving...
