What are you offering that is different than the many companies that already offer this service?   There are many that offer everything you list and quite a few things you didn't (e.g., StatusCake, NodePing, etc.)

I think if you want to do simple blogging with Wordpress, you certainly can.  You can add on other stuff if you want/need it. The argument that Wordpress is not a good blogging platform (or has somehow grown out of being a good blogging platform) does not make sense to me.
