Circuit Court Of Appeals Strikes Down FCC’s Open Internet Order

Pretty much this, but I was a little taken off guard that this happened, when I first heard of Verizon trying to pull this shit, I thought no fricken way anyone with a brain is going to allow this. Then I remembered where we live.

Circuit Court Of Appeals Strikes Down FCC’s Open Internet Order

See this is why old men who have no clue about technology should not be making the rules on things they clearly do not understand. The bandwidth hogs as they say, referring to Netflix already paid for their bandwidth, Verizon's own subscribers are the bandwidth hogs, not Netflix. But yeah, I...

Circuit Court Of Appeals Strikes Down FCC’s Open Internet Order

Circuit Court Of Appeals Strikes Down FCC’s Open Internet Order http://techcrunch.com/2014/01/14/fcc-open-internet-order-struck-down/ So does this now mean that we are all going to be throttled when Verizon, Cox, AT&T etc., all decide to start their own web hosting companies? This has been a...

Kodo Technologies announces HostGuard VPS Control Panel

Looks good, I took you up on your release special, just waiting to hear back on a billing Issue. I looked but didn't find an answer, but are SolusVM KVM templates supported out of the box? How about stacklet, or do we need to do any modifications...

To Phone or not to Phone

Vitelity is probably one of the earlier ones I looked at, but I'm holding out until gv's last dying breadth... its probably who I am going to go with too. Let us know how it works out.

To Phone or not to Phone

I cant vouge for any of these since I have never used them and prices may have changed since I last looked, somewhere around last july. But here is what I found looking now... CallCentric:  500 minutes to USA, Canada, Puerto Rico. $6.95 per month. Voip.ms:  $0.01 per minute US...

To Phone or not to Phone

Yeah, that sucks, paid $49 for my Obihai and its works great, kinda of a thing with google though, all great things come to an end with them. But yeah, there are lots of $7 dollar a month plans out there though, I bought mine just to have a home phone, and with google voice it was free so it...

They do, Target, which is a large US retailer announced they were breached this week. According to AP they didn't discover it themselves, it was the CC Companies who notified them of the breach.

    Email services - your opinion?

Pretty much... years ago I had a friend who dropped his gmail account saying he didn't trust them, got and paid for a hushmail account thinking it was much more private and secure, granted they were US based, but he thought being hushmail it was going to ensure his privacy being super secure. I...

    VolumeDrive's court filiings.

That and I believe the moved the servers, in the lease agreement it states they were to remain at Burst.net. But that's probably the least of it when comparing that they owe over 100K and continue to hold the equipment.

Market Research - KVM Pricepoint. What would YOU want to pay?

Yeah, no disrespect to BlueVM but when I see 1GB Ram for $30 Annually its just a huge red flag, $2.5 a month on something like that leaves next to 0 profit unless you pack that server extremely tight. I guess I'm like Nodebytes, I would pay $5 bucks more a mo for better performance, that and...

Iran, you better run - .ir hosting in US ILLEGAL PART 2 - embargo breakers

Yeah I just read that arstechnica article too, I've been trying to do some research on related embargoes but I would like to know what cPanel's legal team comes up with for an answer before I would want to touch any customer from Iran at this point, be it for any form of service, cPanel or not...

Anyone have an LG Smart-TV? Possibly privacy concern. LG Smart TVs logging USB filenames and viewing

Yeah well, we'll all be chanting: "War is peace yada yada." pretty soon anyway... And I'm pretty sure the the gov't has backdoored all of these SmartTV's by now anyway. Pretty soon we wont be able to turn them off and will have to wake up for Govt Jumping Jacks at 6am every morning. But yeah...

GetKVM_Ash back with yet another VPS brand

Ah, that makes sense I guess... I  suppose in Ash's case, get one or two to a large enough size and sell them, while retaining the rest.

GetKVM_Ash back with yet another VPS brand

I don't get why poeple start a bunch of different brands selling the same thing. I can see doing it for having a brand for a hosting website, vps website, dedicated servers etc., But just going out and starting different brands for the same service just doesn't any make sense to me...
