[Minecraft] How to install & fully secure Multicraft control panel.

Just as a FYI to people following this, you're going to end up with PHP 5.3.3 this way, which is well, ancient. If Multicraft works with 5.4, you should pull the remi repo and use that. If not, 5.3.27 should be your goal. Writing guides for the default 5.3.3 is not a good idea anymore.

    PHP.net used to distribute malware

PHP itself is just fine, indeed. The extremely low entry curve is PHP's bane, sadly. Every moderately computer literate guy is now 'programming,' thus the issues :(

    Understanding IP Block allocation

We apparently use the same cheat sheet. +1 But yeah, never needed anything else, it's easy enough to calculate once you have the netmask. And even that's something I'm sort of really used to these days, since I've deployed so many boxes already.

DE-CIX starts Open for Peering in New York City Internet Exchange

How does it being named DE-CIX NY work, though? As far as I know, those initials stand for Deutschland, odd.

Hardcloud launching their "Premium Virtual Private Servers"

That email is actually rather well typed, ignoring all the premium nonsense. I doubt this will be a real cloud deployment, but meh.

Review of the Ubiquiti EdgeRouter Lite

I really doubt this will do fulltable BGP, and actually be able to hold onto that. tl;dr: Go get routerboards if you need el cheapo BGP routers.

Expectations in regards to ticket reply

<10 minutes in update cases and IF you're within business hours, actually. I don't know what people whine about, but Cogent's support is far better than most carriers at their scale.

    Favourite Web-dev IDE?

Webstorm is great if all you're trying to do is basic webdev, nothing backend. It's by Jetbrains s.r.o, but sadly is not free. Sublime Text 3 is what I'd recommend if Jetbrains' IDEs aren't your cup of tea.

    Integrating WHMCS with Jira

https://github.com/cpliakas/jira-client does most of the work for you, but I personally think this would be pretty useless. Whmcs and JIRA are systems aimed at two vastly different market segments.

    Mandrill - Anyone using it?

It does you no good if you use premade apps, but API based services like sailthru and postmark are infinitely better if you're a developer. Reason being simple, smtp is a costly protocol time wise, and the operations are blocking. So to say, if you need to mail 3 clients at a time, you need to...

Best free or cheap (one time payment) billing & support systems?

Probably funky index routing, and nginx rewrite rules. Try rewriting everything that doesn't exist to index.php, it's usually the way to go with software like these.
