First of all, you don't need a VPS. A normal shared web hosting plan would suffice. Second, nobody will give you a free VPS. Surely you can afford a few bucks a month?

Make an owned license of sorts, perhaps? You could always charge up front by how many nodes they have and charge an upgrade fee, just not monthly. Like, $100 up front, $50 per year after that for updates and support. Maybe include 2 nodes with that. They can add more nodes for a one-time fee of...

I think you should charge more up front or monthly, but not on a per node basis.

Every single BetterVPS sign up has been people running from ChicagoVPS. I can be proud of that. But for the price, ChicagoVPS provides the expected service.  One of my ChicagoVPS-hosted nameservers now has a 1 day uptime but it's not erased and WHM is still accessible. I should probably change...

I think banned these people, no matter how annoying, will not help. It might be somewhat helpful to have them here.

Regardless of the inaccuracy of a speedtest.net test, the issue has been resolved.
