Feedback on Logo Update?

Hi all, planning some updates on the website and other components of Cloud Shards. Whilst we're at it, we got a graphics designer to update the logo.

Thoughts?

The cloud should look open and expanding than being put into a restricted space IMHO. Even the color and font do not look appealing to me.

Like others said, it feels a little out of proportion.


Have you tried wit the text inside of the cloud? That could be nice.

The current logo seems to have looked better.

It looks too much like a stock image. Besides, what does a lightning bolt in a cloud in a circle have to do with "Cloud shards"

A shard is a "piece or fragment of a brittle substance". To me, a lighting strike sort of fits. I also like the current one better.
