GVH Terminates Cloud Hosting And Moving Out From Buffalo

    Great cloudflare alternative from Google

Google is one of the last companies any political activist or someone who is worried about censorship would utilize to get their information out given all of the NSA's backdoors in Google's systems (not to mention the fact that Google's entire business model revolves around collecting as much...

GVH Terminates Cloud Hosting And Moving Out From Buffalo

Elaine will "continue to own it in full?"  A few hours ago on LET you said YOU owned 100%.  Which is it? If Elaine owns 100% of the company will she also continue to ignore the Companies Act by failing to display your company registration number, place of registration, and registered office...

GVH Terminates Cloud Hosting And Moving Out From Buffalo

...but they don't need their own IPs because GVH has their own  infrastructure that is so wonderful that other low end hosts  are willing to enter into a financial partnership with them to access their infrastructure...

GVH Terminates Cloud Hosting And Moving Out From Buffalo

Last week I posted in one of the CC/HVH threads that ColoCrossing wasn't known for its security and that link proves it. http://blog.colocrossing.com/readme.html  Wordpress v3.51 > TL;DR a shitload of vulnerabilities A few of the issues with that version (from Secunia): LOL.  The blog...

GVH Terminates Cloud Hosting And Moving Out From Buffalo

It could be due to manufacturing delays.  SeFlow has been completely out of E3's too for the past few weeks...new stock due within the next 1-2 weeks.

GVH Terminates Cloud Hosting And Moving Out From Buffalo

What do I think? #1:  "our Buffalo, NY upstream cloud hosting provider has decided to be uncooperative with us" Who exactly is that "upstream cloud hosting provider".  The old "cloud" IPs in Buffalo were assigned to HVH.  The new ones in Chicago are assigned to HVH.  This reads more like "we...

Webmail client to read multiple accounts at once

Well the mystery "fuckvpsboard" sender isn't anyone from Clarence Center because the Time Warner Cable IPs in Clarence C. are 72.228.145.xx (e.g. 72.228.145.54 etc.)

    Whatever happened to Xen?

Maybe it's taken a back seat in the follow the leader land of small LET providers (and in the land of Digital Ocean and its bastardized version of KVM), but it is still very much alive elsewhere.  My 2 favorite cloud providers use it (CloudVPS and HostVirtual), and in the past month two long...

    Down to 4 VPS

LET taught me that RAM is the only criteria that matters when choosing a provider so here's my list ranked by RAM: Personal VPS (1) ------------------ 128MB DotVPS (gopher server) --openvz Company VPS (41) ----------------- 16.768GB Edis/Waveride --kvm/openvz 16GB CloudVPS --xen 13.64GB...

Who are your favorite higher-end providers?

They have about 20 employees (real employees, real office).  I've been a client for over a year without any problems.  There are a lot of reviews/ratings (in Dutch) on ISPGids and Webhosters

Who are your favorite higher-end providers?

Response times on the free support tier (Service Level 1) are slower, especially after hours. I've never had to contact their support (except for sales and billing questions)) but ShardHostSarah said they had to wait a long time to receive a reply .

Who are your favorite higher-end providers?

CloudVPS.com, HostVirtual, Nephoscale (NephoScale get points for their CloudScript)....in that order All 3 have been around for years (Nephoscale is only 3-4 years old but its parent company Silicon Valley Web Hosting has been around since the mid 90's and the main people behind Nephoscale's...

DigitalOcean to add Singapore Region by the end of January

202.131.95.29 (Sydney).  Better peering to Asia (i.e. that doesn't go through Los Angeles/San Francisco) would be nice too...especially to Indonesia and China.

    BuyVM Legal Defense Fund? LOL

The reports they emailed were neutral, now if only they had thought to put a muzzle on Chris... That is a mother[venial sin redacted] [venial sin redacted] reason for making a business decision but not surprising given how heavily some [venial sin redacted] small hosts unwisely rely on forums...

    BuyVM Legal Defense Fund? LOL

You're not the only one who finds it silly. Visa's best practices guide on how to handle a breach recommends not trying to play the victim or trying to pass the blame onto a 3rd party  by saying "it's not our fault, the Solus and WHMCS developers are to blame, etc", in your public statements to...

    BuyVM Legal Defense Fund? LOL

The whole thing is a repeat of what happened last May before LET was hacked: there were several negative threads about CVPS and they (Adam specifically) retaliated by starting a thread accusing BuyVM of shilling.  TL;DR = yawn. Definitely a niche: 200 servers makes someone a giant in the low...
