Burst.net UK - Sold right? Why is UKFast Dropping BurstNet Customers?

Just a shot in the dark, but maybe Burst (UK) "sold" equipment they didn't own to UKFast as part of the deal

    Monitoring system - free beta

I catch up on the new threads here every day, but without wanting to point out specific examples, a lot of what I see isn't that relevant to me. I'm not a zero-poster and do participate when I feel I can add something useful.

    Monitoring system - free beta

If we go down the SaaS route, it will likely be about half the price of the cheapest serious competitor. That will be the key selling point. However, it will also feature predicted metrics, application monitoring (which will tie closely to the server monitoring), an API and public stats and...

    Monitoring system - free beta

Probably 1-2 weeks from now when the remainder of the application is done and tested.

    Monitoring system - free beta

I'm developing a server resource monitoring system as a more cost-efficient alternative to some of the big names. So far I have a (nearly) MVP and am adding new features every day. The system currently comprises load, memory, space, inodes, IO and TX/RX monitoring + alerting.   Screenshot...

namecheap NOTICE OF BREACH OF REGISTRAR ACCREDITATION AGREEMENT

I've seen loads of these letters on WHC to different registrars - most are for non-payment. Be thankful this one isn't.

    We've open sourced

All of the key parts of the app are in this. There were however some hosting modules that are not included as they were licensed to us for use in our own environment only.

    We've open sourced

(Cross-post from LET - I figured VPSBoard would be equally interested) After numerous conversations with customers, friends, investors and would-be interested parties, we've decided to open source our software and continue to grow the consultancy side of our business. This means that you can...

Put your hosting business on autopilot (freebie inside!)

Thanks, Martin. That's good to know and I'm talking to a lot of people who agree with you. Let me ask you a question though - by control do you necessarily mean host, or are there other levels of control that might ease adoption? (An API [our is mostly done], database downloads, etc.)

Put your hosting business on autopilot (freebie inside!)

It's a possibility, however right now it is SaaS. I'm meeting investors over the coming few weeks and if they stipulate that they want it as a downloadable product then we'll probably work toward that. I know it sounds a little strange as a hosting business to use a SaaS product, but I think...

Put your hosting business on autopilot (freebie inside!)

Yes it's SaaS. As in one that lets you build your own modules? Not right now unfortunately. This is a beta and doesn't have as many modules, yet. However, we have more extensive cPanel/SolusVM integrations, built-in Stripe integration, a better aesthetic presence, built-in support for projects...

    Thinking about not using paypal.

I'm also thinking about ditching Paypal. I spoke to Elavon yesterday and the rates are better, clearing time is faster, they don't push your customers to sign up for an account if they don't want to etc etc. It would be interesting to hear from those for whom no Paypal is a deal breaker.

    Crowdfunding - Custom WHMCS Implementation

These crowd-funding things tend to work best for arty stuff. I don't think I've ever seen this sort of 'business' get any success from it.

    Control Panels

Plesk 11 is ok but I would still go with cPanel. Get as large a server as possible so that the $11/month or whatever spread thinly over your accounts,
