    Storage VPS

For the record: Fran got back to me privately and addressed my concerns about Tor policies. He tried pretty hard to find a balance between legitimate use and abuse, but ultimately it was not possible to do it. He can be very busy, but really cares about their customers.

    Storage VPS

Hey, Aldryic, no need to call bullshit on me. I focus on your Tor policy because I hosted one exit node on a yearly VM and during that period it went from allowed to forbidden. So that should tell you that I focus on the one policy which affected me. And that I care to know what is and what...

    Storage VPS

I did know someone would ask :P - Some years ago, back in the Fremont era I got a 256 VM from them and the experience was horrible. Doing an apt-get update would take several minutes and the container was completely unusable. Ticket response times were really bad too, so I ended up canceling...

    Storage VPS

Thought about that, maybe even combining two 128 containers and (ab)using the oversold space, but I wanted better scalability to be honest. It was one of my options, yeah. Nice offer, good to know.

    Storage VPS

@TSS - Conor: thanks for the offer, but it was out of my budget. @drmike: thanks for your suggestions too :) @DomainBop didn't know coupons could be used on all the OVZ series, those are good offers, thank you. I ended up getting this offer I found. The provider isn't very well known but they...

    Storage VPS

So I am in the market for some cheap storage. I would like quotes for both 100GB and 200GB containers. I know about offers from: - Backupsy: my best option at the moment. - BuyVM: no stock, not good experiences with them in the past. - FlipHost: quality of service really went down since...

    Question about OpenVPN 4to6

All that workarounds are not needed anymore. As Danthe said, OpenVPN 2.3 now supports IPv6 natively, but you need a small subnet for the setup.

Level3 Public DNS Servers - Search Engine Redirect

I keep getting "Non-existent domain" responses from Level 3 DNS when needed, does this keep happening to you? Maybe they are just testing for now? Anyway, I maintain a little list of anycast, no-bullshit DNS servers here: http://wiki.nyr.be/dns_publicos Both HE and NTT ones would be a good...

Probably they don't know. They only need to fill a WIPO request and since they own the trademark... but whatever.

No one is going to buy MyLittlePony from you, they are left without the domain the moment Hasbro wants.

64 or 128mb Ram for €3.00 p/year - UK, Italy, Netherlands (Pure SSD and DDOS protected Options)

I got one of the containers in each location and the project it's simply awesome. Going back to the really low end services it's great :D

Running your own small CalDAV server

I wanted to use ownCloud's client for Mac and it was nearly unusable, ended up with BTSync. Anyway, I don't feel like ownCloud it's rock solid yet, however the CardDAV/CalDAV part works good.

Just wanted to clarify it was one of the most independent security firms. Russian security firms (Kaspersky) have very strong ties to the government.
