Reserving Disk Space you Purchased from the Oversold VPS providers

Coming at this from the IT point of view and not related to hosting... we frequently over assign resources to our servers total use in terms of ram. However we always leave dedicated cores and disk I/O is watched very carefully. If you need the full ram on most of these servers, you most likely...

I'm a heavy photoshop user, I use an ATI card. It's awesome. 1gb memory is not too bad either.

Your new VPS is provisioned, what is the first thing you do once you connect?

Considering I'm on dedi's... I build my own OVZ/KVM Vm's and install all the security I need before it's officially "provisioned" to the main live server.

    Dual Quad L5420, 16GB RAM, 2x 1TB ESATA HW RAID 1, 10TB Bandwidth!

Not a bad price. However, I'm just starting an RTO on a server so I won't be interested as of now. Someone really should take this though.

    Dual Quad L5420, 16GB RAM, 2x 1TB ESATA HW RAID 1, 10TB Bandwidth!

Not trying to be a snob or anything, but you are incorrect. There is no such thing as ESATA or E-SATA only eSata. There are enterprise class sata drives. Find me a spec on Enterprise SATA from a reputable source and I will be much obliged to admit that I am wrong. However, it is best we stay...

    Dual Quad L5420, 16GB RAM, 2x 1TB ESATA HW RAID 1, 10TB Bandwidth!

eSata does not stand for Enterprise SATA - It's a spec for external Sata interfaces, as in an external drive.

I'm routing a lot with IPv6 between VMs where they only need to talk to each other. I'd like to not pay for IPv4 address when I don't need to.

Providers who own their IP addresses

What do you mean? If I two providers who own their IP addresses plus my home static IP I am guaranteed to have access to the application. I also have a DRAC card on the dedi so I can modify the "whitelist" if needed.

Providers who own their IP addresses

Hello all! I am looking to build a small (personal) project that requires a certain IP to authenticate, similar to a whitelist. I would like to find a provider that owns their IP addresses so I can guarantee I will have the same IP addresses for at least a few years. If possible, I'd like to...

    Virtualized Desktop

It's a bare metal type 1 hypervisor. It's resources allocate (in my opinion) much better than KVM does.
