Web Devs - How do you host your clients?

<offtopic>   With all the cheap hardware (raspberry pi, pogoplug...) the ability to use hardware in a hobbyist environment is much more viable these days. </offtopic>

    Would you buy owncloud space?

I was actually thinking of using a backupsy VPS, I would make nearly nothing off of it if anything after domain, ssl... etc. But it's more that it would be secure, cheap, and would just work.  After the Google NSA incident I am moving over to an encrypted backupsy VPS. If people want it, I can...

[Backupsy] 500GB for $7/month at new location Buffalo, NY!

I've been using Backupsy for a couple months now, I'm very happy with it. I backup all my proxmox vm clones to one of their boxes. They have great bandwidth and are great for running backups. I use rsync to run my backups on a script. Some vms backup everyday, others once a week.

    Would you buy owncloud space?

Hey all, I know there are plenty of storage services out there already, however with the restrictions they place and the prices they   charge for space I was thinking about hosting owncloud. Would you pay for owncloud space? I could sell accounts for around $2 per 100gb Thoughts on this...

    ChicagoVPS | 2 NEW LOCATIONS! | Dallas, New Jersey | $4 1GB VPS

My theory: They amass all the clients they can on long contracts and get them to buy a ton of ip4 addresses and not provide an ipv6 option, then boom! they'll raise ip4 pricing and cash out. Could be wrong, but it certainly sounds like CC.

    Looking to Colo

That's what I am starting to realize. However large scale can sometimes be a single server with the proper specs. I may end up building out a server with 2x3TB drives and 2x128GB SSDs - That would really fit me needs best and if I could colo it for cheap it would be the best price for that kind...
