Decided I'll start using my cPanel production VPS for my mail services until I have a dedicated service for it.

I've been using gmail as my primary email service for a few years now and I'd like to move to either a privately hosted email service or a private mail server. I'll be getting a 512MB VPS from DO in a bit, any tips for running your own mail server, and overall difficulty of it?

While they're v3 looks to be a massive improvement over the current version (at least in terms of UI) I'm pretty content with ClientExec. While it tends to lack a bit in the aesthetic department it has a very solid backend.

The only one that has really left an impression on me is Stallion.

Depends on quite a few variables. How many sites do you plan on hosting? What type of sites? Static HTML? Wordpress? Forums? etc. Panel? If so, which? Assuming you go with cPanel that's going to be an extra $15 on top of the VPS cost, unless the provider you choose to go with is a cPanel...
