[IPXcore] $1/month VPS is back in stock! 96MB RAM, 6GB Disk, 200GB Bandwidth.

...So do all of these VPSes come with native IPv6 by default? Including the $1/mo offer? If so, you should update your website to reflect that.

Received $5 from DO for cancelling all my droplets

Sure. There were actually two e-mails. The first was "from the CEO" and looked like this: The next was a service/support e-mail:

    Free Maps API

...Google maps? I know they have usage limits too, but they are pretty high. You need to be realistic about expect usage - will you load more than 25,000 maps/day? I doubt it.

RamNode New York City Now Available!

Can I transfer a VPS from the Atlanta location (or for other customers, from other locations)?

Received $5 from DO for cancelling all my droplets

Like the title says, a little while ago I cancelled my last droplet at DO. I still like the service very much, but I'm trying to slim down my collection and now that I'm no longer at school (the one with the terrible Internet) the VPN VPS I was running with them was no longer needed. But now...

Limited Public IPv6 Beta Release DigitalOcean

Yay! Grandfathered user here. Got my SGP box up to look around. Yup, /128s. I was actually kind of thrown off at first because, well, here's what it looks like in the panel: ...So naturally I tried an ip -6 addr add, but no dice :( I guess they hand out /128s out of a /64 block. I've...

    EV SSL

I'd say EV gives me more assurance when purchasing from a new company I haven't purchased from before, but if a company I already do business with upgrades to EV, I'm not suddenly going to do more business with them. I am curious how an EV SSL is being sold for $46. I thought the high cost was...

Do you prefer a Gbit VPS with limited Bandwidth or a 100Mbit unmetered VPS?

I've never had high bandwidth requirements, but when I am using it, I want it fast. I'd take limited Gbit.

Whoisdoma - A new kind of whois search

The copy and paste he was referring to is your first post. A lot of it is Q & A style, but it seems the line breaks or whatever separators you were using didn't carry over, so the post seems very disjointed.

    The latest paypal policy updates

Are...are we Canadians not nice enough? We're sorry, really! Please excuse our manners, eh? Seriously, though, I don't see why this update would change anything. If someone doesn't open a dispute in the first 45 days (or first 14, really), they're not going to do it in 180 days.

CEO/Founder of CloudFlare thinks HTTPS is over UDP

No no no, he's right! HTTPS stands for HyperText TCP Protocol (Secure) - the only mistake he made was that he should have referred to HTUPS: HyperText UDP Protocol (Secure). On a related note, visit my website: htups://www.dstrout.net/

    Stupid Question

Still, you should at least escape things. Even if this is just for internal use, it's very easy to accidentally throw a single quote in your value, and suddenly everything explodes with MySQL errors. It's your app though, so you know best (I hope).

The only engineer in a business meeting..

I have never had the misfortune, but if it was truly like this, then what they're looking for is buzzwords. So give 'em what they want! How hard can it be to BS your way through with a bunch of buzzwords? Also "tech-speak" ass appropriate. If they ask for clarification, throw it right back at...
