    USB Armory Mini PC

Their website says they are aiming for sub-100 Euros (~$126.52), if they can get it to sub-$100 I'll probably order one to play with.

If it had built in WiFi then I'd order one. Looks really neat.

Alabama man gets $1,000 in police settlement, his lawyers get $459,000

Either way, criminals are getting paid for being criminals. At least the dangerous criminal didn't even get enough to fix his car (not like he'll be driving anywhere in 20 years anyways).

Secure Dragon OpenVZ 128 MB (New York)

That is strange, I am only seeing 2 minutes and 30 seconds of downtime since August for our New Jersey node. How are you measuring the uptime?

Hmmm, why did my IPv6 stop working recently? Oh, because I was only asking for a /64 from their rout

I have their cheapest "Double Play" package but I wish I didn't sign a contract because we can't wait to get rid of our cable. I've got a SB6141 and it works nicely compared to ever other cable modem I've ever had, I wish more ISPs would let you bring your own modem like Comcast does.

Why are you testing on production?

So I've been reading a lot of threads regarding updates breaking production nodes and the finger being pointed at somebody else other than the person who ran "yum update" or "apt-get upgrade"... really? RedHat/Debian/SolusVM/OpenVZ forced you to install updates blindly without testing them...

Your thoughts on using nginx and apache together?

Yes it's a "control panel" in a sense that's hosted on their website. No they do not have full access to my servers, I would never give somebody I don't 100% trust full access to a server of mine. Read more here:

Hmmm, why did my IPv6 stop working recently? Oh, because I was only asking for a /64 from their rout

I think it's because Comcast hands off to Level3 as soon as they can for IPv6. I notice that traceroutes over IPv6 usually have less hops (to the east coast it's sometimes 1/2 the hops of IPv4 to the same server). [EDIT] Traceroute to the same VPS in Tampa, FL from my home in Denver, CO...

Hmmm, why did my IPv6 stop working recently? Oh, because I was only asking for a /64 from their rout

LoL, I know right! I'm glad we're not burning through IPv6 like we did IPv4. :D

Hmmm, why did my IPv6 stop working recently? Oh, because I was only asking for a /64 from their rout

So I got my new router a while back but wasn't able to get IPv6 working on it until today. My problem was I was asking for a /64 from them but recently they changed it so that they only offer /60 to residential clients now. I had to wait 4-5 days for my old lease to expire before I could get the...

Your thoughts on using nginx and apache together?

ServerPilot is essentially an alternative to installing and running a control panel on your server. I don't use Digital Ocean but it doesn't work on OpenVZ and only works on Ubuntu 12.04 and 14.04 so you'll need KVM/Xen/Dedi for it to work. It does basic security stuff (firewalling...

Your thoughts on using nginx and apache together?

I've used this setup in the past but then opted to just use nginx by itself instead. Now I've switched over to ServerPilot.io which uses this setup and it's awesome. Performance-wise I don't notice a difference really between the Apache + nginx versus just Apache or just nginx but for security...

Secure Dragon LLC. - 9 US Locations Powered by Wyvern starting at $9.99 PER YEAR!

It's mostly to keep the kids away. We kept having to raise our prices for DDOS protection because of the constant abuse and we finally found a price point where we don't get hit with chargebacks any more and people stop mentioning us on various forums that bring us bad clients and downtime...

Secure Dragon LLC. - 9 US Locations Powered by Wyvern starting at $9.99 PER YEAR!

We tried to use COLO@ in Dallas but they shipped the server back and it was right when they migrated our New Jersey server to another data center without telling us so we went with QuadraNet instead. We bought a server with QuadraNet in LA last month but their network can't compete with COLO@ so...
