    WHMCS 24/10/2013 Vuln

I coded a SolusVM replacement for WHMCS that was 95% done and am in the process of porting it over to Blesta. In terms of documentation, Blesta blows WHMCS out of the water. In terms of ease of implementation, WHMCS wins hands down. WHMCS makes it extremely simple to code a custom module while...

    WHMCS 24/10/2013 Vuln

Last patch/e-mail has restored some confidence in WHMCS, not a lot, but some.

Review of the Ubiquiti EdgeRouter Lite

It seems that these routers are being used mostly by ISPs who push a lot more traffic that we did. That's good enough for me. :)

Review of the Ubiquiti EdgeRouter Lite

I would take this over any routerboard any day. :)

Review of the Ubiquiti EdgeRouter Lite

    We did static routes only.

Review of the Ubiquiti EdgeRouter Lite

We had just a single drop to each router.

Review of the Ubiquiti EdgeRouter Lite

We were running 2 in our Tampa cabinet with 7 VPS nodes pushing 70-100Mbps without issue. VRRP worked perfect (minus IPv6).

    New WHMCS exploit (10-18-2013)

WHMCS does not send out any notification regarding security alerts until after the exploit has been verified which is usually when they have a patch for it. Luckily we have 1 data center that keeps us updated of WHMCS exploits as soon as they hear about them (but the e-mails, PMs, and tickets...

Review of the Ubiquiti EdgeRouter Lite

I love those ER Lites! We had 2 in Tampa (VRRP) and they were amazing. Then again, I'm a huge fan of Vyatta so having a hardware router running Vyatta was a win-win for us since our scripts ported over without any changes.

    Budget Phone Service

2.x is fine with me, I had 4.x on my tablet and didn't notice any difference except for using Chrome. Speeds in CO are horrible (<1Mbps) but it's consistent and stable enough that I can do about 500MB over Pandora in the car a week and I can use Google Maps and check my e-mail whenever I need to...

    Budget Phone Service

I think it's because I only have the single band version of the Defy XT.

    Budget Phone Service

My service (RW) is on the Sprint network and I regularly find myself without service since moving to Colorado so I carry a 2nd pre-paid AT&T phone since it works everywhere. I'm hoping a phone upgrade will fix the problem but we'll see.

Quality VPSs at Secure Dragon for over 2 years! $6.99/m for 1GB or $9.99/m for 2GB! Tampa, FL and De

It's also worth pointing out that you can get IPs for $0.83 each, but you need to buy a VPS for each one.

Quality VPSs at Secure Dragon for over 2 years! $6.99/m for 1GB or $9.99/m for 2GB! Tampa, FL and De

$2/IP is the norm these days for US based providers. We could give away IPs for free since ARIN has so many of them but it also helps cut down on the amount of abuse on our network so we keep the prices high. :D

What do YOU use to monitor your servers?

We use NodePing, StatusCake, and a custom monitoring script (basic PING and HTTP tests) for real-time alerts for any outages. For resources, we have Observium for our network and a custom monitoring software for all of our servers. We have munin setup for our physical nodes also...

    Well that was fun

Usually big banks are better at handling things like this but when I was in high school somebody in Australia used my debit card to purchase hundreds of dollars worth of subscriptions to his website (each account was $19 so he created over 20 accounts with my card). It was a Friday so I just...

A sad state for VPS offers

If we had got anything larger than a /36 our annual payments would have doubled. A /36 is plenty for our needs since we just assign a /48 per location so a /36 will let us expand to 4000 locations and 268435456 clients which is more than I'll ever need. If we reach 1 million clients or 100...

A sad state for VPS offers

Don't tell ARIN that or I'd owe them a lot more money. ;).

    New WHMCS Exploit

NAXSI was a simple install and looking pretty nice so far. I've got it in learning mode for now but it looks like I could put it live without any issues. My only fear is that I'm developing our new control panel on WHMCS 5.2.x with Apache so I'll need to move that over at some point. :(

    New WHMCS Exploit

So does anybody here have any experience with NAXSI? I was looking into it but I won't have time to setup a test environment for it until next week and I wouldn't put anything into production without testing it so I'm looking for some feedback before I proceed.
