    Ideas and suggestions for vpsBoard

Nope. Here is the URL - http://vpsboard.com/index.php?app=core&module=search&do=viewNewContent&search_app=forums I have set it to show "Content I have not read". It never worked "instantly" for me i.e. it wouldn't show newly changed / replied topics for me. So i guess it's cached for some time...

I click on "view new content" and get "Sorry, no new content found". Yet there are a lot of new topics / topics with new replies that i haven't read (i see them by the bold on the main page).

Power saving settings and dedicated servers

Should be totally OK i think, after all it's just a software setting and you are not messing with the BIOS. Some providers might not like it if you change BIOS settings.

Who uses Stripe for payments? Beware, they seem to not validate cards.

I wonder, how could transactions go through with known stolen cards? Don't the banks block / cancel these cards if it's known they are stolen?

WHMCS Currency Exchange update - working?

Well, the "unreliable third party" is the European Central Bank (http://www.ecb.int) i think. But why they try to pull the data from a third party is beyound me. They should have made it to be pulled from www.whmcs.com for instance (or some other server they control), and then if the format or...

WHMCS Currency Exchange update - working?

@MartinD nope it wasn't working before, just not telling you it wasn't working :) I.e. now it says "update of currency exchange rate failed" and before it used to say "updated", but didn't really update.

WHMCS Currency Exchange update - working?

Not working. Didn't bother to open a ticket with WHMCS, i think it's an old bug and has been broken since sometime in August.

    BuyVM - Leaving Buffalo Early

Still if they won't let him participate in the unracking anyway, there is no need to bring him at the old DC? He can go buying pizzas, coffee or whatever.

    BuyVM - Leaving Buffalo Early

So send Matt to the new DC running cables and preparing things for when you arrive with the gear? No need for unnecessary confrontation by bringing him with you in the old facility.

    BuyVM - Leaving Buffalo Early

You should have just put several (like 5-6) new nodes in the new location, then live migrate the customers from 5 nodes in the old location to the new one, go and get those 5 empty nodes from the old location and move then to the new one, live migrate more customers, etc. Repeat as many times as...

    WHMCS 24/10/2013 Vuln

Well, at least this time they published MD5 checksums of all the archives. So they can't just fix this "version not increased" thing silently. They will release a new patch (5.2.12) shortly.

Yes, i'd call it unfair marketing practice, but such is life - unfair. if you believe it's actually illegal - please do report it to the authorities that should deal with such things.
