2016 Phone / VOIP standout services and products

Looking to the collective wisdom here for input on phone options and VOIP companies.


Needing to light up a few phones with real phone number.  VOIP is preferred.  Not interested in another cellular/wireless phone.


What are gals and guys using for VOIP that is priced pleasantly and works fairly reliably?


Anyone out there using newer versions of MagicJack solutions ?

It's an inbound only line for "free".  They have to pass along 911 fee, setup for such and related taxes.

I've been using vitelity.com and am pretty happy.  There's been another vpsboard thread or two suggesting alternatives.  Here's a LET thread:

maybe not quite what you want.  Of course I'm suspicious of anything "free".

I'll pull up the vpsBoard thread(s).


The LET thread was meh.  The SiP provider route is really foggy.  Setups are usually running toward Asterisk or buying another device I haven't bought yet (tiring of collecting boxes of old used once gear).
