iOS7 ...

I have just recently stumbled upon iOS7. Since I use both an iPhone and a Blackberry, I could quickly identify that there are a lot of features ripped off directly from the Blackberry arena.

Especially the gestures (on unlock), etc.



What do you think Apple is doing? Why rip off when you can easily make better, newer features? It surely wouldn't be hard for Apple to figure things out on their own?

Hmm, it is not dying over here in the Middle East. I can tell you it is definitely the big hit, and continues to boom. Although service charges are sky high (in the $60/month range for a low bandwidth plan), people still depend on these devices.

IN the US, the market is almost all but gone. Most people buy either Android or iPhone at this point.

There are only so many ways to do a touch screen mobile device. It's not like they're going to make it where you have to throw it against the wall to unlock it in the name of not being accused of ripping someone off


Truly good products don't always have to reinvent the wheel, but can take the best ideas and compile them together. Most of these features are highly regarded jailbreak addons. It's not hard to know what iOS users want directly without toying with a blackberry, which as Mun hinted is a product that has been on life support in the US for years. The users will easily tell you themselves, and what we see here is Apple finally listening and paying attention to what people want. On the Internet, no matter what you do, you'll be hated. Simple fact of life.


I'm definitely loving iOS 7 so far. Improved battery life on the 5, and its not just perception by cosmetic change. More natural feeling responsiveness including but not limited to the transition animations. Predictive text appears to have taken a slight increase in accuracy in some ways, but introduced a few hard to reproduce bugs with it (should make my bug reports fun). All in all, I really like where it's going.

I am with you on this, and yeah, of course there wont be any throw-at-wall-to-unlock method. However, the market for BB is completely the opposite over here. Anyhow, the iOS7 is really looking good, can't wait tbh.
