Ubuntu 13.04 to 13.10 Upgrade in VPS

Hello Guys.

I need some info about upgrading distros/OS by ssh in VPS. Is it safe to "do-release-upgrade" . I was running my vps by Ubuntu-13.04. Is it safe or there is another way ??

thats the right way to do that. However if you are running a complex system with many installed software's things might break. ex- Apache

compiled from the source or via apt-get? Either way there wont be any issues as far as I know. Just do it

Have your provider do a snap shot of your VPS.  If it blows up, you can simply revert back.
