Hey vpsBoard,

At VPN.sh we're running a very special offer over at our offer page. The idea is that the price increases by £1 each day up until the 23rd May, when the price becomes locked at £10/year.

The price is currently at £2/year, and when it bumps up to £3/year at 23:00 GMT 14th May, we'll provide a link so that members of vpsBoard can continue to get this offer at just £3/year!

We have plenty of worldwide locations - 27 locations in total - including 11 in North America, 3 in the UK, 2 in Germany, Canada and the Netherlands, as well as locations in India, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, and a few across Europe.

You'll get access to 150GB of bandwidth per year (or for £5.50 you can get 500GB bandwidth) and can use OpenVPN, L2TP and PPTP with our locations.

ORDER LINK - 150GB BANDWIDTH PER YEAR - £2/YEAR

This offer will expire on 23rd May and the price will up from £2/year to £3/year at 22:00 GMT 14th May

Thanks and enjoy!

Liam

Netflix data information can be found on their website here. If watching in Medium quality you'll get 214 hours worth of usage. We're also running 500GB for £5.50/year which will get you a significantly higher number of hours worth of streaming. Order link for that is here.
Have ordered one, thanks.

woops, ordered the small one - wanted the one you linked to - can you send invoice for the remaining?

Lots of http (unencrypted) pages in the web site, but the login cookie is not marked secure, and you have to log in to get to several of the unencrypted pages (address list and so on).  That means the cookie can be intercepted, and also the site itself can be spoofed, letting MITM replaces the address lists with their own monitored ones, similarly with the certificate files, etc).  Solution: encrypt everything and uses HSTS if you can.

Hi there, please open up a support ticket requesting an upgrade, and I'll get an invoice sent over.

I signed up a few days ago and today got a somewhat spammy email about a new product the host is considering offering.  Most providers don't send out such promotions and I think it is best that way.  Use vpsboard instead, that's what it's for.

Guessing the email was regarding our dedicated IP's in Dallas? This has been sent out to current clients as pricing for current clients is initially likely to be offered at a slightly slower pricing, and is to gauge whether or not it's worth us taking the plunge. The VPN market is slightly different to that of the VPS market too, and locations, including dedicated IP's and new exotic locations are the kind of thing we like to consult our customers on first before plunging into something new. Please open a support ticket if you don't want to receive such emails.

Yes, that's the one.  I think it's best to use "opt-in" rather than "opt-out" for sending such mailings.  Alternatively, use vpsboard, your own site, an irc channel, etc. to inform people of the new offer, instead of email.  Maybe I was just unlucky and happened to get an email within a few days of subscribing.  If I get some kind of email announcement about new products once or twice a year that seems reasonable, and similarly if there is some info about new products in the same email that comes with the initial signup, that's perhaps not too bad.  When I got a marketing email after just a few days my spam alarms went off.  This is my first vpn account but I don't think I've gotten any emails like that from the dozen or so VPS hosts I've had services with.  So I think the email was in excess of established industry practice, at least for the vps industry.

I do understand where you are coming from, and we do tend to send out emails about new things happening at VPN.sh a little more often than VPS providers probably would. But then again many of our clients look forward to new locations and extra features, whereas most people with a VPS want it to just sit there and work.

By all means, anybody is free to opt-out of such emails, but a vast majority of our clientbase consists of less-tech savvy people than users of vpsBoard, who like to hear about new features etc.

I still have a ticket unanswered from 04/12/2013 :(
You're not the only one with unanswered tickets.

Twice now, a ticket has gone unanswered for several days.

1st ticket -> 5 days, still no reply -> Opens a "need response to ticket.." -> Some minutes later a response arrives.

2nd ticket -> 5 days, still no reply -> Opens a "need response to ticket.."-> (24 hours later) Still no reply.

This is beyond bad if you ask me, and I will probably close my account after this, as it seems this a concurrent problem.
