What is the best way to install php on your vps?

I am running Debian on my servers and I want to have a recent version of php. What is the best way to install php?

Compile from source? Using dotdeb.org? Another option?

A lot of the pre-stables have nasty bugs in them, so just stick to the stables.

I would stick on the stable branch of Debian.

PHP 5.4.4-14 is ok.

Yeah I have no issues with the standard stable branch of Debian's PHP.

Personally, I prefer to build from sources.
