Anyone had any luck with support lately or did everyone ditch whmcs these days?

Found some bugs and I've yet to get replies back from them.

A few months ago they responded to a support ticket about once every 24 hours, not sure if that has changed at all recently.

For us it always takes a while to get a first initial response. After that initial response you can usually get a response pretty quickly, that is, if you are right by your computer and respond the instant John replies back.

I've never had an issue with their response. I'm surprise to see people report such long response times!

I take back my prior statement, they are responsive until you identify a "minor" bug, at which point they will provide a fix at their own leisure.

Oh, and by minor bug I mean something like the inability to transfer in domain names using special characters in the epp code.  I almost forgot the last domain issue (unable to transfer in .nl domains) took them roughly four months to fix... (fixed in 5.3.x)

As of recent, I have had amazing response times. Not sure if it's only Sales.. since I have been inquiring about moving to a Owned license from a monthly one.

Keep in mind you can't download new versions of WHMCS after a year unless you buy the $40 support package every year.

I've always been on the look out for a great billing product with a decent helpdesk and it just doesn't exist.

Even very very expensive products like Ubersmith have a really poor helpdesk.

Kayako have now resolved a lot of their issues and the 3rd party integration works pretty well, to make it cost affective you'll need a grand fathered license with unlimited staff (normally).

I always get fast support from WHMcs. Not sure why others have to wait days/weeks. I think WHMcs will get better now in partnership with cPanel. Time will tell.
