    SSH Attacks

@peterw, I really hope you are joking and if you are not I really hope that english is not your primary language and are just misunderstanding this thread. DOS attacks are not subject to privacy policies and an automated script that handles DOS attacks is not considered as "monitoring client...

    SSH Attacks

I found that our honeypot solution (got the idea from @Francisco, THANKS!) was a lot more accurate and the number of clients blocked by it were 0 whereas the sshcheck script we use now blocks clients who open to many SSH tabs/windows and has resulted in a couple of tickets so far. The reason we...

    SSH Attacks

I had a nice honey pot that interfaced with our routers and it worked amazingly. We switched to @Damian's script though and it works nicely but requires some monitoring and housekeeping every so often.

Best password manager? What are you using?

KeePass is my favorite and I can use it on my PC and my phone. I like the auto-type feature for entering username + password in any window or you can double click on the password field and it will stay in your clipboard for X seconds or until you paste 1 time. The 2.x version has a lot of nice...

Who can offer me the cheapeat vps on the planet?

Beats me, you didn't say anything about bandwidth or port speed so I offered you a VPS that met your requirements.

    Providers: Whats your background?

I started hosting because I had been running a handful of websites for some odd years but since I didn't know anything about Linux, I could only do things with a GUI so I became a cPanel guru. After running cPanel for my own websites, I learned a lot about linux and was not only comfortable with...

Yup, right across the street from my apartment is Thornton.

    Where are you from?

After living in Florida for all of my life I moved out here to Federal Heights, Colorado in April... I never want to go back to Florida. We actually moved to Federal Heights on accident because the house we put a bid on fell through and we had to find something really fast and the apartment we...

Who can offer me the cheapeat vps on the planet?

I'll offer you an OpenVZ VPS with 10MB of RAM and 100GB of disk space but no network connectivity for a lifetime payment of $5. Did I win? It meets all of your requirements and it's the cheapest offer so far so now you should purchase it.

Looking to split a dedicated server (2 VMware VPSs available).

You'd get 4 out of 8 cores (16 threads) and I'll have priorities setup so you can max out the whole CPU without impacting any other VMs. As long as it's not to IO intensive but even then, I can give you your own physical hard drive to thrash. ;)

Looking to split a dedicated server (2 VMware VPSs available).

If WANSecurity allows it, I'll have them announce a block of our IPv6 addresses once ARIN completes our request next week.

Looking to split a dedicated server (2 VMware VPSs available).

There are a few reasons I did this: 1) Prevent abuse, if something happens to this server I am out quite a bit of money and I am not making a penny off of this so it's all risk and no reward for me. 2) I don't have any IPs available right now and I didn't want to spend an extra $13/month when...

Vpn providers banned by Visa and Mastercard

Oddly enough, I have to login to a VPN to order anything online at work because all of our traffic is routed through the home office in Florida so the distance thing causes problems. It also doesn't help that Google Maps shows an empty lot for our data center because it was just built so most...

Vpn providers banned by Visa and Mastercard

Both. I think it's the water they use or maybe the altitude. Either way, I'm attempting to embrace this new thing that is spreading rapidly on vpsBoard where you reply to threads without reading anything else in the thread. I guess I still suck at it because you and I are having a understandable...

I've noticed that pizza tastes better in Colorado than it did in Florida... and I loved pizza in Florida.

Looking to split a dedicated server (2 VMware VPSs available).

I have a dedicated server I'm renting from WANSecurity (Kansas City, Missouri) and the specs are overkill for my needs now but I don't want to cancel it because I still use it but I only use a fraction of the resources. I'm looking for 2 people to split the server with to make things easier. So...

    KVM anomaly

The XML file will be on the hardware node so you'd have to ask your provider to check it for you. Did you issue a reboot via SolusVM to make sure the ACPI setting saved correctly for the VPS?

Yet people still have and use cell phones regularly. Pocket-sized devices with built in cameras, microphones, GPS, and an always on public internet connection... I love it. :D

    Status 2

I used your original code and came up with this: http://n3rd.info/sdstatus/ (old screenshots, current version is a lot more customized and detailed). Keep up the good work though because I love options! :D

    Yet Another SolusVM Alternative: VPSM

I heard the most common thing is to build something custom for OpenVZ and then use libvirt for everything else. I don't think I've ever read of an instance where using libvirt for OpenVZ worked properly but I've read plenty of "WTH libvirt?" threads/articles in regards to OpenVZ.
