    I'm speechless...

Here's a quick summary of what happened: Client posted SSH login info for his VPS on Twitter that was re-tweeted by some Anon account. Clients VPS is used to attack our internal servers and attempts multple kernel exploits to gain root access to our hardware node. Client is terminated for the...

What would you pay monthly for this?

CommercialMedia. The only downside with them is they are single-homed (although the latency and speeds are amazing) and there's no remote management so I needed to open a ticket for a reboot once but other than the 1 OS issue I had it's been 100% uptime since I bought it 4 months ago.

What would you pay monthly for this?

I'm paying $35/month now with the same specs except with a 256GB SSD instead of 1TB SATA drive (and a /29 of IPv4). I'd consider paying up to $40/month with IPMI/DRAC/ILO access and IPv6.

Kim Dot Com sues for defenses

So when a rich person needs money, instead of going to the bank they sue people?

    DDoS Protection

I was close to pulling the trigger because the amount they were asking for wasn't much so there wasn't much risk involved, but then his e-mails started getting confusing and he was contradicting himself. I was actually waiting for him to reply with more info and I never heard back from him.

    Incerno giving away free IPv4?

LoL! I was quoted $400 for a 100Mbps commit but that was in Tampa where bandwidth is pricey. I have quotes of $200+ per Mbps from other providers and some data centers will give you a "discount" of $50/Mbps for a 100Mbps commit.

    Incerno giving away free IPv4?

I know of a handful of data centers giving away free IPs with X amount of service, heck, Cogent will give you as many /24s as you can justify if you have a 100Mbps with them. Handy Networks is offering free IPs and I almost took advantage of it but you never know how long those free IPs will...

    DDoS Protection

I told him to send me an NDA and he said he would but instead forwarded me his financial and client info. I'm not going to share any of it of course but his asking price was 1/3 of his total monthly PROFIT. Who sells a company for less than they make each month?

    DDoS Protection

Be cautious with izserv, we were contacted out of the blue by them asking us to buy their company for 1/3 of their monthly profit. I asked for him to send an NDA he instead sent his client and financial info which was some red flags for us.

    BGP IPs being hijacked...

@Francisco, Doesn't work on my phone in any of my browsers for some reason. Not sure why. Now for some of the info I've found out about BGP hijacking and some info based on my limited networking knowledge (feel free to correct me if I state something incorrectly because this information is...

    Forced mobile version?

The link to the full version doesn't work. Is this a bug or intentional? I hate not being able to edit my posts on my phone since my auto complete tends to screw me up. :(

    BGP IPs being hijacked...

I meant "BGP hijack". I wish I wasn't forced to use the mobile version on my phone. :(

    BGP IPs being hijacked...

Doing a search for "BCP hijack" brings a lot of interesting RFOs of large attacks. I will go into more detail of these attacks and how they work when I get to work tonight.

What do you use your Raspberry Pi for?

If the water is cold enough can't you utilize some sort of heatsink to dissipate the heat?

What do you use your Raspberry Pi for?

AWESOMENESS!!!! Luckily I found a 2GB SD card to play with and just as I finished putting RPITC on it there was a knock at the door. I was logged into my Windows 7 VM about 5 minutes after opening the box and it's not bad but not as good as my netbook of course. I'm wondering if I set the...

What do you use your Raspberry Pi for?

I went to Walmart today to grab an SD card and some LEGOs and completely forgot about both. :( Hopefully I have some empty SD cards laying around that will work since UPS should be here any moment.

What do you use your Raspberry Pi for?

I think I'm going to play around with PiBang if the RPITC doesn't work out for me.
