    Cheap Rack?

See the Ikea Lack hack is meh. I had some of those side tables a decade ago and they are glue/particle board shitola.  Not durable at all. Never used them as a rack thing, couldn't imagine doing so. You'd do better buying some proper wood if you like the concept.

    Cheap Rack?

can always buy angle steel with standard holes predrilled.  4 pieces of it for corners and a few small sections to cross brace things. there are telco rail racks too that are sort of similar.  they are 2 or 4 post setup.  they look weak but aren't.   been using both approaches for decades...

How to stop webhost frome entering vps without permission?

I am not an admin.  I have however helped a bunch of companies in the VPS spectrum and been exposed to shoddy biz practices many of they engage in. I have seen staff in multiple lowend companies wholesale rifling through containers and peeking at folks stuff. The basis for such?  Shady.  Oh...

Home is where the hosting is - I heart localhost

I'll note, I am not advocating free-for-all exposing everything.  Just one off things.  Strategically. Like right now, I'll throw web server public for the next few hours to exchange some documents with someone. Then it comes on down.

'Cloud' chassis - anyone using them?

All of these are junkie  when looking at things solely from VPS world where smart folks bundle a stack of drives per server.  Most of these top out at  around 3 drives per actual server. Soooooooooo..... if using these and liking redundant drives then need fast backplane connector to something...

Home is where the hosting is - I heart localhost

When thinking about this further. Hosting in datacenter gets mass abused.  People use it for everything perhaps erroneously at times.  Newbs will know, no better and experienced folks will host outside just because that's what they do every day with everything else.  There is a place and will...

Home is where the hosting is - I heart localhost

That sounds right.  I haven't read the specification to say otherwise. It's a tunnel that exposes anything, anywhere, on demand to the internet.  You define what you want exposed. Your front side facing the world as-is is Pagekite.me domain and their servers.  Where your service is running and...

Home is where the hosting is - I heart localhost

Like most folks around here, I've been piled up with VPS accounts all over for years.   VPS services are swell, but for me more than a few is a time sewer.   Even the near instant provisioning of Digital Ocean gets a bit tiring and scripting things for a public exposed full server is just meh...

List of providers who offer DDoS protection.

There aren't that many US options.  Just a half dozen or so DDoS filtering companies for real that have affordable visibility and most people just reselling that.  Surely there are others out there, probably ballooning prices though. As for OVH, to see France offers probably are going to have...

List of providers who offer DDoS protection.

Not recommending any of these brands, mentioning them only: Rivalhost -https://www.rivalhost.com/ddos-protected-vps.php  - offering out of Kansas City.  Unsure if their own filtering or what. https://zetservers.com/ddos-protected-vps.php - Romania mentioned. vpsflare.com - offers various...
