Lightweight Wiki Recommendations Python based for LAN

Portability and lightweight mainly. Running stuff on lowly ARM devices with limited RAM.   So PHP is one more thing eating away at small pile of RAM + additional hardening stuff for such.

Anyone around here a fan of Wiki software? Looking for something lightweight, easily portable and probably Python based. Anyone using such a tool currently that that can share the name of? Looking to get my Tomboy notes off the PC and up to LAN.  So ideally Python app with web based interface

Black Friday and Cyber Monday isn't too far away. Who had the best deals last year?

I never really understood the whole Black Friday / fake sales day. It's entertaining as the masses stomp each other half to death in shitty retail stores to save on the last item of fashion desire every year. The e-version is more civilized, but some broken psychological thriller and nervous...

Yerp, site was suspended prior and now is gone. So is customer panel URL. Should be note to those coming back to the well.  Things are tapped and going to take a lot more than last time go around formula, even if borrowing concepts from partners, prior employers, buyout companies, etc. Going...

QR Codes - Using them yourself or just another dead fad?

QRCodes, those postage stamp looking blocks of random pixelated data that contain, well, readable information with camera and proper software - surely you've seen them along the way. As a user, customer, citizen, are you snapping QRCodes and using them these days? Or has this passed as a fad...

    EIG acquires Arvixe, LLC Assets

So, someone did kindly by me.... Pointed me to the public filing since EIG is required to file public disclosures: "On October 31, 2014, the Company acquired Arvixe, a California-based web presence provider to small and medium-sized businesses for a purchase price of $22.0 million, which...

Datashack appears to have entered the VPS market

Well they have teased with VPS packages for a while now.  Unsure if they ever officially offered them. Looks like their new packages at link you posted are more than 50% reduction in pricing. Original plans were: Outhouse 256MB RAM 512MB Swap 20GB Drive Space 2 IP Addresses 2000GB...

    VPSB PodCasting

Sounds like a good way to spend some free time. I was contemplating doing a similar project a while back.  Found the segment to be blah.  Going to be hard pressed finding people that will say much of value. People that are knowledgeable will be either too busy or fearing giving away secrets...

    EIG acquires Arvixe, LLC Assets

@XFS_Duke   Workers rights and human dignity continues to challenge masses of "employers". Shame to hear management say they don't care about your children like that.  Some will say two sides to every story, me I tend to say that is how companies operate.  Folks should know how companies operate...

    EIG acquires Arvixe, LLC Assets

Yeah 24x7 phone support is to give idea that support is USA based.  It's not about the phones. They don't elsewhere or nearly as prominently proclaim: "24x7 ticket support (and other forms) provided by non USA based". I mean it's partially telling the truth, but bet your bottom dollar, it's...

    EIG acquires Arvixe, LLC Assets

Word has it that Arvixe seemed to still be renting servers.  Meaning their per server starting monthly nut to cover was much higher.  Softlayer was/is one of the providers. EIG is supposedly migrating Arvixe to colocated and owned servers.

    EIG acquires Arvixe, LLC Assets

Waiting for the inflow of all those Arvixe workers who now are looking at pink slips. Certain to see old, friendly faces visiting us here and elsewhere in coming weeks. As for the combo dealing, $70+ million.  Hard to do a teardown on what was sold here and values. Arvixe should have been...

    EIG acquires Arvixe, LLC Assets

Consolidation happens in this industry. Hell it's happening in ugly way in all traditional industries too as the economy sputters. Since vast majority (if not all) of these acquisitions were of private companies, the money is elusive illusion and not going to be forthcoming on the biz recipe...
