European Servers may be an option?

I agree European countries generally have better privacy laws. Problem is, it just isn't that local country you have to contend with and that could be a problem. Nearly all traffic aside from local peer exchange or that within the same network hits major peering points.  Those major peering...

Ideas -- How to "route" DNS traffic through multiple daemons

Part of the ongoing "hardening" of my own environment involves cleaning up DNS.  DNS is often leaky these days and many providers are intercepting DNS requests and doing all sorts of unwanted things with the data. In an effort to starve them, provide a bit more security and generally have a...

    VPSWiki.us Ideas?

Well, I'd start with the perceived industry (low end and mixed market we have here) and the believed-to-be popular hosts. Popularity should equal more interest.  Once those companies are in there, others should/might notice and have interest in their own corporate profiles.

Proxy Security Anonymity Rating / Rank / Checker

I am working on another tutorial with emphasis on moving forward in a more secure manner for folks. Slow going perfecting what I am. Basic piece involved in Squid and/or other web proxies you run yourself on save a VPS. Part of this is to forge details and make anonymous/mask certain leaky...

Do you think vBoards have become too restrictive

Calm down fellows.  I think you are more than tolerant, fair, etc.    Our other moderator was the recipient of the finger banging by Jarland and I agree, however never saw him finish a blow up with great bias.  More of nagging public row.   I know the other admins reigned that personality trait in.

Quick Packet - Dual Intel Xeon L5420 - Dell CS24-SC - Dedicated Server Review

Dumping nLayer... Hmmm... That's good sort of.  Lots of Nlayer in my mixes lately elsewhere.  It's hit or miss network satisfaction wise.

    Microsoft Crashes, plane into houses

Helicopters like planes have to be mega thin metal and light structurally or they won't be able to fly.  The metal isn't strong in the big picture. You see how badly cars get banged up in 60 MPH collisions right?   Well add the earth gravity sucking to that and direct compact earth hit typically.

    Microsoft Crashes, plane into houses

Well when/if helicopters (most of them) lose engine/jet/power their ability to coast is little to none.  They fall pretty quick.  Planes can/do glide.   Possible to safely land a plane that is disabled.  Helicopter, much rarer.

Do you think vBoards have become too restrictive

I think provider rules should be clear and verified folks when posting offers and non verified too should have to go through disclaimer page. The OPs posted offer I jumped on before and was closed, was a total mess, lacking info, etc.  I handed the kind please would you his direction and banter...

Countries with Data Privacy Protection Laws

The EU is no solution or rival.   It is one in the same.  UK has been proxy operating Canada since day one and arguably the US since, oh World War I or prior. The Germans aren't innocent in this either.   They are just as bad but receiving no press in the US about the same. EU and all other...

European Servers may be an option?

No. The European Union (EU) is its own batch of issues and vile rivalry to the US police state. Some EU countries have enhanced modern privacy regulations.  Unsure if those truly mean much. There aren't many European countries that are not EU members or actively trying to become members...
