    Fiber Optic Switch recommendations

Not too related to this, but I know my home router has two fiber ports, then eight Gbit ports.

    The cesspit / chat thread.

Word.  Awesome.   I'm all indifferent to the DC space renter resellers.  I mean people are going to always want to talk up how big they are.  However as long as they're able to deliver on what they promised it's not a problem.  Now saying IPv6 is coming and never actually deliver?  Ehh...

Anybody know which one Free hosting control panel for Linux VPS Hosting?

SolusVM is right now the defacto.  I would never suggest a "free hosting panel" if you actually plan on being serious.  Solus is cheaper than cPanel if you go this route: https://www.licensepal.com/products/solusvm.php Only software that would be acceptable would be Proxmox.  I use Proxmox...

Same boat as you @AuroraZero, gotta find a new glass for my Chromebook Pixel.  Can't seem to find anything on eBay or AliExpress.

    high availability shared hosting

I'd suggest talking with @Francisco if you're looking for anycast solutions.  He's the go-to guy for all of that things (as he's probably one of the most knowledgeable person I know).  However I don't think it'll be worth it for 20 dollars a month.  Basically 100% redundancy + basic management...

What is dirrerent beetween Cloud hosting & VPS Hosting?

The National Institute of Standards and Technology defined cloud computing as "a model for enabling ubiquitous, convenient, on-demand network access to a shared pool of configurable computing resources (e.g., networks, servers, storage, applications and services) that can be rapidly provisioned...

Fixing a Chromebook Pixel (2013 Model) Glass?

I think my normal google-fu is being a bit slow.  Anyone know of any resources involving replacing the glass and the touchscreen component of a Chromebook Pixel?  Mine's broken and I would love to find a way to fix it so I could use the touchscreen again.

    Bad.Horse

An oldie but still a goodie.  I remembered about this from a reddit post I saw earlier today.  Figured I'd bring in some nostalgia. Trace bad.horse, and you'll get this.  Who loves rDNS?

    high availability shared hosting

http://www.cloudways.com/ Seriously.  The guys from Cloudways were on a podcast I was listening to a few months back and this is basically everything you need/want to recommend to your friend.  They do managed hosting on DO/Vultr/AWS/Google Cloud.  They do cheap for starter/low traffic...

What solution to virtualize its own infrastructure ?

Not a problem.  Best of luck.  I didn't recall for sure and was simply remembering from memory, so I'd suggest double check what I remember.

What solution to virtualize its own infrastructure ?

They have it written on their site.  You can read it. tldr: if I recall correctly, one is just VPS, whereas the other one you buy resources and then can create and destroy containers within proper parameters on demand.

SNI Proxy & Bind in Ubuntu

I don't see why not.  Netflix blocks specific VPN/Proxy IPs if I recall correctly.  They don't block the SNI Proxy system (or more like can't).

How to Change SSH Port on Ubuntu

Man I haven't heard and used Woltlab Burning Board in a long time.  Man that used to be a pretty spiffy forum software.  Although iirc it used to be fairly clunky. Right now I"m a fan of Xenforo, but we'll see.
